Hello all and im not the best player by far but is it possible to even get out of silver playing support? its my favorite role and it doesn't matter how good I do in my lane. there has been countless games where I have a adc that is 5-0 or so at lets say 10minutes and our mid laner will be 0-6 and top is 0-5 and jungler hasn't done anything. Ive tried being a jungler and majority of my games two people will die before I get my second buff. More often then not I get a adc who cant do anything and makes terrible decisions like for example yesterday I believe I had a half life sona that I E-Q on as Leona and who was very out position and the ADC goes THROUGH minions past sona to go try to kill the ADC who is running away and right by his turret that was also nearly full life . Ive been in games has blitz and Q-E and the adc doesn't even hit them. is it that I just have terrible luck and not to forget the amount of AFKs and trolls and them players who will never group. I would love to just get to gold. Anyone with some advice on how to get out of silver as support or should I just give up and play different lanes

I try to better myself and I try to ping. I try to ward for other lanes who are doing bad idk what else I can do

Try to do more than just ping. If someones moving that means there is a weak spot somewhere, find it and exploit it.

As a support main I have to agree that it is extremely hard to do anything outside of laning phase. You can get the best set ups but its up to everyone else to actually deal the damage. You can dominate bot lane, but that doesn't mean anything if everyone else is terrible, but the same is true if you are a solo lane and everyone else plays terrible.

Ultimately you are getting a string of bad luck. I'm gold and I've been a support main the entire time. Occasionally played mid and my secondary role is ADC. You can carry yourself out of anything as a support main, but its going to take a lot more effort because you aren't dealing the damage. Its a sad truth of how it is.

Focus on what you can do though to win lane every game. Learn the matchups and find what you can do. Make sure you are working to make yourself better.

Oh I have and I have learnt to play against all my counters quite well. Ive gotten very good at dodging skill shots. I pretty good at making opponents make bad choices like pretending to afk and and random stuff that I find hilarious and Thank you im glad someone knows my pain!

Honestly, pick up Thresh. He's my gamechanger. No matter how bad my team is doing, a good Thresh can hand them a kill on "Silver" Platter.

I have recently bought him and I think I got him 6 times maybe in ranked so far and 4 times I have gotten a afk adc so I dont know the wonders of thresh in ranked yet and it annoys to me no end but yes he is amazing. ive done many great things in normal with him but them don't matter
