Lucian changes and champion balance

Lucian is pretty much the premiere bot laner right now: Some of his core items got cheaper and most of his competition got weaker. Plus with Essence Reaver, his late game is stronger, making him one of the best marksmen both in lane and in late game.

How does Riot not see these kind of obvious things when making the changes, or at least during PBE? I saw the patch notes for the marksman changes a couple patches back and immidiately said this to my friends, Riot figures it out a couple months later. How!?

This happens so often it really confuses me....

Actually MF is the best right now. Back to your post though. Lucian has been the worst ADC beside Kalista for the most part. He saw a little bit of pro play in s6 and i do not remember him being goo din s7. He just got his ult damage to minions halfed so that'll help against his R for no more supers tactic, but he's fine dude. Let the poor black man be good for a moment.

The sad part is Draven MissFortune are still sitting with 53%+ win rates and 10%+ play rates and are untouched.

Because where each champion lands isn't that easy to predict.

The re-balancing was bound to benefit Lucian. There was literally no way he couldn't get better, but given he was arguably the worst bot lane pick you could ever make.. That wasn't inherently a problem.

Low and behold, it looks like he got a little too powerful. Hitting some of his excess power - the minion damage change - curbs his wave clear and opens up strategic options while also directly impacting his trading (hiding behind minions during Culling lets you avoid more damage). Follow up with a small AD scaling nerf and he's still a laning bully, but he doesn't scale as hard or as fast past the laning phase.

As has also been said, other ADC's are also massively strong at present.
