Some thoughts and hopes regarding a potential Diana rework

Hey guys! first time posting here! I've usually been on reddit, but I've been meaning to post on the forum more. You seem like a pretty nice community, and I'd love to get a chance to talk more with you.

The latest Quick Gameplay Thoughts from Meddler (Which I've been SO happy reading, by the way. Love those.) mentioned that Diana may be getting a slight rework some time in the near future. That got myself and a friend of mine - whose favorite champion is Diana - talking a bit about what the rework could act like.

I understand that whatever changes are going to happen are probably already set in stone, but I'd love your thoughts on what I workshopped.

P: Unchanged Q: The skillshot remains the same, but when you tag someone with it, you can follow it up with the dash (that is currently Diana's ultimate, except without the bonus damage.) I would intend this to work much like a Lee Sin Q. W: Unchanged E: Unchanged R: Heretic's Brand: Night falls on a target of Diana's choosing for a short duration, severely limiting their range of vision and causing Diana's abilities and attacks to do (x%) extra damage. If the target dies while affected by Heretic's Brand, the cooldown is reset.

The goal with this is to try and make Diana a champion that is more functional as a jungler before lvl6, making her ultimate less of a basic ability and more of the power spike that it ought to be. With her Q her only way to land a dash, it rewards good aim and punishes missed skillshots - no longer letting Diana point-and-click her ult because she missed. The new ultimate I cooked up lets her maintain her identity as a single target assassin with snowballing, teamfighting potential - and even gives her more of the "Chosen of the Moon" identity I personally think she's missing.

I'd love any feedback on these ideas! I had a lot more fun doing this than I expected to.

Well, I like the thought, but Diana, (to me at least,) has always been the champion with that heavy power spike.

Changing her Q to make it more like Lee Sin would be strange.

It would make her weighted towards early-game like Lee Sin, and to balance her, the late-game would need to be slightly weaker...

This would be a huge chance in practicality and I honestly can't say I like the idea of MORE champions like Lee Sin, my lower ELO friends already have enough to complain about...

I DO really like the ultimate because it PERFECTLY fits her theme and would be a very interesting and mostly unique ability in game (Kind of feels like a little bit of Malzahar with some spliced Nocturne cooked over Leblanc's burning remains)

Reddit Eh? So you're like one of those Rengar playres eh!? Neat changes but I don't really see how this will work out. What would her playstyle be like?
