High level activities of bots being used in LOL

These bots, (I won't give a name or a link or anything) are really out of hand, they allow users to perform combos automatically which gives a very unfair advantage. For example a script that allows kat to perform her ridiculously strong combo with a press of a single button. Or the ryze script that allows him to also perform his combo, there is a lot more not mentioned here but it's really carried away.

Is Riot not doing anything about these programs? I played a game called Conquer Online years ago and they were also riddled with bot activity, however they were doing a great job at keeping them at bay and even banning people that used them. However I don't see riot doing anything about this. Any thoughts?

And for those that want to try and hide the fact that these bots are very real and try to accuse me of "not knowing how to counter", I'm not complaining about her being "OP" or broken or that her combos couldn't be performed by a well experienced player not using a bot. I'm speaking about the ones who are, and honestly it's funny how many people will admit to using the scripts when they're called out on it because they have no fear of consequences at all.

Thanks in advance!

Yes, there is a hack program that is quite popular and people are using it to climb the ladder in ranked. The champion that made the hack famous was Cassiopeia.

I looked into it back when it was freshly discovered by the community and it easily allows people to perform at above-professional levels. There are a lot of videos on youtube showcasing this.

The problem stems from 2 things here: The Primary thing is that Riot has virtually no anti-cheat detection when it comes to input and information gathering. Meaning as long as the program is up-to-date with the game's coding, it can get all levels of information and display it for a player, while also calculating the different interactions between you and any unit and then using a preset standard to achieve a desired goal the most efficient way possible. It is a real problem and it is an advantage no one can overcome if used by an intelligent player.

The other thing is that the program is easily found with a google search and is free to use. Anyone can nab it and use it without much problem and without any resistance.

I absolutely agree. Riot is seemingly doing nothing about this issue, and I'd half the mind to say that the people defending these scripts use them.

Just like the people telling you to stop promoting them on the forum. Fun fact: the botoflegends community itself wants you to stop promoting it so they fly under the radar for longer.

So here goes: BOT OF LEGENDS. GOOGLE IT. DOWNLOAD IT. USE IT. RUIN THE GAME WITH IT UNTIL RIOT FINALLY FIXES IT.

You should practice some against the Intermediate AI. They cast all their spells as rapidly as possible. It's good practice, so you can just not give a damn about people using scripts.

Seriously though, I seriously fail to see how someone using scripts is a problem. It's not different from someone actually being able to rotate spells quickly. The only difference is that it's not their "skill" at pressing four buttons at the proper second. While I could understand being upset about this in, say, Street Fighter, where complex button mashing equals amazeballs combos that win the match, League of Legends isn't the same type of game.

A half-second casting delay isn't enough time to change direction when casting spells?

As a person who has recently been getting better with Smartcasting, I take that as a challenge rather than an insult. No surprise, really; back when Draven first came out, someone claimed you'd need a mind capable of telekinesis to manage axes in-combat.

... Really? It shouldn't matter how big of an advantage it is, any advantage at all is unfair.

JustMyBassCannon

any advantage at all is unfair.

Which is why Riot entirely removes counter-picking.

Is this really a debate? Blatantly cheating should be tolerated because counterpicks are a thing?

Makes complete sense to me!

Steroids should also be acceptable in sports because coaches can analyze the play style of the opposing team before hand and try to devise a strategy against it.

Strategy is cheating, cheating is strategy, well done.

Wow, are you really...

None of you idiotic fucks caught the sarcasm?

He said any advantage. I made a sarcastic response. I wasn't expecting anyone to laugh, because god/s forbid any of you have a sense of humor, but are you really that stupid?

To answer your retarded question; no, it's not a real debate. It's me fucking with someone who used far too broad a statement to rant at people who are using 3rd-party training wheels. I'm not justifying them; Riot specifically bans a lot of 3rd-party software for giving certain advantages. I'm just giving people a load of shit, because they're complaining about someone using software that gives them about a tenth of a second reaction time more than they normally would have. Just send reports of the person abusing software instead of making a stupid thread in the wrong section you whiny morons.

Yeah a fraction of a second, I guarantee that most of those people using those scripts can't perform as well as the script is performing. Why spend the time to gain the skill when you can use a script that equals someone who took the time to gain the required skills? Also what if that script just snowballed a Kat on someone who isn't experienced enough to perform her combos, Where as the out come of the game would have turned out differently for the losing team had scripts not been a problem? We all have seen one of those before, doesn't that give an extreme advantage? Your statement really needs worked on.

  1. You're still in the wrong forum section
  2. Go and tattle. Name the users and the programs they used, and let Riot take care of it.
  3. If they weren't experienced enough to deal with Katarina, I'm 98% sure that the scripts didn't carry them, Katarina did.

Your forum skills are lacking. I'm not against anti-scripting, I'm just against people posting things in the wrong section, especially when it's something you should send in a support ticket to a Rioter, instead of to the community. You'll get someone like me who doesn't really give a damn that you have a right cause; you're in the wrong place. Just like how the champions of the League don't have duels in the streets of Noxus or Demacia, you should not be posting here.

First of all, I can read and your annoying ability to ramble on about how I'm in the "wrong section" is about as OP as these scripts.

Secondly, Although acting like a 2nd grader and "tattling" on the many users using them is tempting, I seriously doubt riot will do anything about it right now, and when they finally do decide to do something about it, It's most likely that the users will get caught using them and banned, over my "tattling".

Third, These scripts can calculate and respond to situations a lot faster then a human mind, or even the human hand can, so your idiotic statement about the scripts not carrying is invalid, you seem to be defending this quite a bit, are you a script user? If so then let me start the tattling off with.... RIOT, "JustMyBassCannon" IS A BOT/SCRIPT USER!!! REPORTED!!!

Lastly, I DON'T GIVE A FUCK ABOUT YOUR OPINION OF MY "FORUM SKILLS" that too is also very invalid to this conversation and I can only speculate that you are trying to troll me, as I'm sure you do in game. But to stamp out any future annoying comments about this being on the wrong section, I have been playing LOL for a little while now and this is my first forum since I started. So Mr. Forum Lord, please do pardon me for misplacing a post in your vast and incredible world of subjects. How dare I be so ignorant..

All hail the Forum Lord.

And you're very amusing, so I continue to tell you that you're in the wrong section. Maybe you'll learn someday, but until then, dance

And this is bad why? Would you prefer I said "Be a snitch" which is the adult version of tattling? They're using hacks. Get 'em banned if it bothers you, practice and beat them if it doesn't. Simple logic, your third answer is to basically bitch at me for being sarcastic because you're in Gameplay and Balance instead of General Discussion or gods forbid you put it in a Support Ticket.

Third, These scripts can calculate and respond to situations a lot faster then a human mind, or even the human hand can, so your idiotic statement about the scripts not carrying is invalid, you seem to be defending this quite a bit, are you a script user? Pfft, no. I don't use scripts. I wasn't defending them, either. I was mocking someone's overly-broad statement because this thread has jack shit to do with Gameplay and Balance. I at least made it relevant by naming something that has to do with Gameplay and Balance.

Besides, you actually have to prove I'm using them for such a claim to stick.

Seriously though, while scripts can react faster than a human's fingers, there's this magical thing called "Casting delays" that forces them to wait 0.5 seconds between spells, if not longer for channels. The vast majority of spells have a casting delay; there isn't a single mage whose entire kit does not have casting delays. That still gives you a chance to react if you know what you're doing.

Lastly, I DON'T GIVE A FUCK ABOUT YOUR OPINION OF MY "FORUM SKILLS" that too is also very invalid to this conversation and I can only speculate that you are trying to troll me, as I'm sure you do in game. I have been trolling you, because your complaint, while valid, is still funny to me. I trolled on someone else's comment because they can't narrow down a statement to something less broad than "any advantage", meanwhile I'm capable of narrowing it down by saying "3rd-party advantages" because that's specifically in Riot's terms of service, which means that these people are breaking Riot's rules.

I don't give a fuck that you find it annoying. You complained to the wrong person, and now you get a load of shit for it. All you have to do is stop responding, and send in support tickets when you catch a cheater. You will be happier, I will not be harassing you, and the cheater will get in trouble.

Riot doesn't care about bots because they're not in e-sports.

And as long as they're making their money, why spend a some of it to fight against bots.
