Ezraael and new fervor

Hi i have a questions it may just be me the ignorant but anyways i would like to know why doesn't Ezrael abilities like Q and W add up to fervor this is really made the champ awkward to be played it feels like he doesn't do damage anymore or like it used to be and this may be me just talking but it feels different so here i ask if is better play him with thunder lords or fervor because hes not an auto attack champ and this just got really hard now fervor goes up to 10 and abilities doesn't even work so if someone could just explain it would be good.

because abilities no longer give it ad.

its a shame because fervor isn't as good as the old one on ez. because he builds on crit. its basically half the damage.

I like using stormraiders for him it allows decent kiting and reposition and escape
