Soooo the stormraiders surge key stone got me thinking...

If boots of swiftness reduces slowing effects, and so does the keystone, and it adds up to over 100% does that mean slows, boost you? Having a total velocirapor moment...

They don't stack in the way you think they do. It works like this. Say a 40% slow is being dealt to your champion, Storm Raiders cuts that down to a 10% slow. Then the boots of swiftness gets calculated turning that 10% slow into a 7.5% slow.

75% reduction + 25% reduction= 81.25% reduction

Please explain, I know that the way some numbers are calculated in this game are weird and I don't know how the reductions would add together like that. You know since 75+25 would generally be 100.

It's not 100% x 75% + 25%.

It's 100% x 75% = 25% 25% x 25% = 6.25% 75% (original slow reduction) + 6.25% (reduction applied after the original one) = 81.25%

Well that turned out way more confusing than i intended. Anyway, the point is the slow reductions don't apply at the same time, they apply reducing a fraction of what the other reduction reduced.

100% ASTERISK .25 (75% reduction) ASTERISK .75 (25% reduction) = 18.75% total slow 100% - 18.75% = 81.25% reduction

P.S. Riot, fix your fucking awful formatting.

It'S called multiplicative scaleing, which is also used for tenacity and %pen Basically you can few it as the reductions not comeing in at once, but one after another, useing the latest value as base. For your example of stormraiders + swiftness: first we apply stormraiders, which takes 100%(the full slow) as base, reduceing it by 75%, so the new value is 25% Not we apply the 25% reduction of swiftness to the remaining 25%, so whats left is 75% of 25%, or 25% X 0.75, which would be 18.75%, and 100% - 18.75% = 81.25%, which is the total reduction on the initial slow. You can also switch up the order and get same result. first you have 100% reduced to 75% from swiftness, when you reduce the remaining 75% by 75% from stormraider's, so 75% X 0.25, which again is 18.75% remaining slow, or 81.25% slow reduction.

If put in a shorter formula, the total reduction is 75%+(25% X 0.25) = 81.25%, or 25%+(75% X 0.75) = 81.25% If useing a generall approach, we have slow reduce A and slow reduce B, the end result is ** A% + (B% X (1-A%))**. Reminder that 1% = 0.01 or 1/100.

I'm sure they stack multiplicatively, so it won't go over 100%. It will however make you almost immune to slows for a short time, I've seen some funny Tahm Kench moments where he eats an enemy and can run full tilt back into his own team.

Assuming you did 30% or more damage to an enemy within 2.5 seconds to start the buff, then yes. only for 3 seconds with 10 second cooldown. seems balanced. What does it matter when everyones running DAMN THUNDERLORDS.

Thunderlord's isn't even that popular anymore. Bruisers go grasp, adcs go fervor, junglers go strength of ages. You generally only see 2 or maybe 3 thunderlord's per game nowadays.
