Wouldn't it be great if Riot made a ranked solo q mode of ARAM?
I know ARAM is mostly a for fun thing for many people but I think it would be cool to see how good you are at it compared to other players.

I wouldnt play a ranked game while with champion i get or my team comp is so random that is dysfunctioning and losing LP cause everything will be decided at the loading screen. Also if we choose our picks them the RANDOM in ARAM is gone then ARAM loses its purpose( it all-random-all-mid). Furthermore with ranking we generate more toxicity. I mean i personally find more instaces of some sort of toxicity/griefing/trolling and it will ruin the mode. Dont be mistaken. ARAM HAS toxicity/griefing/trolling and bots but is -in my opinion- in ok-ish levels. If we add ranked first we need to have a seperate patch notes and balance choices specifically for ARAM plus item callibration. And Riot doesnt really show any williness to spend time and resources for such a big project. Finally Riot has stated that they had consider ARAM ranked but it got turned down as they wanted to keep the casual and relaxing character of the mode.

It'd be the cleanest way to add all the competitive features players have been asking for (e.g. bans, full champ roster) without affecting how casual players enjoy ARAM. Separate queue also lets Riot adjust the account requirements to minimize the revenue impact of enabling all champs. Plus, Ranked ARAM would fill that competitive niche of "rewarding generalists (rather than specialists)" that Riot keeps struggling with.
Furthermore, champ select can take a cue from card games and use a "Random Arena Draft"-style system (i.e. Same as regular draft, but instead of full roster, each player has to choose from a handful of random choices). Still random and in keeping with the spirit of ARAM, yet adds an additional skilltest of drafting while making players feel like they have more control over their teamcomps.
I think that they should change it to all mid though
I voted "no" since I believe that would kill both the regular ARAM queue and ranked ARAM queue in Dominion style; Neither queue would have enough players, and queue times would be higher. If I understand correctly, that is close to happening to Twisted Treeline queue at the moment.
Also, for ranked ARAM to happen, Riot would have to make all champions available for that queue, and they are not (understandably so) willing to give up their money source.
