Runes Reforged and Base Values
So I am really loving the ideas that Riot is putting out for this upcoming preseason, but after thinking on some of the choices (and having not heard all of the details) I do want to point out one thing that does concern me going into the preseason: base stats.
I play a lot of MF (3rd lowest ad at level 1), I have to run a lot more ad than average to make sure that I can properly last-hit with her if I cannot use my passive to help, and if this system coming up has no way (besides that one mastery that allows you to do increased damage to a certain type of minion) to make last-hitting feasible then I am a bit skeptical about the whole system in general.
It has also been mentioned by many that kill lanes may start coming up because supports, and adcs alike, will not have access to large amount of bonus armor (3 in this new runes system from the resolve tree, compared to ~9 in the current system). Not to mention, this may also prove harmful to junglers who cannot survive without the bonus armor from their runes.
So, unless this has already been discussed somewhere, it would be much appreciated if Riot could elaborate on how they are going to deal with how the new rune system will deal with the fault in the current rune system: requiring certain base values to start the game on a strong note.
