Just reached 30 and am in placement. I'm curious as to why i'm matched vs gold players ? I believe its a guaranteed bronze 5 start. The matches are not even or fun at all. Its like putting a child vs a grown man in a fight. Please consider adjusting the MMR for people in placement.

Commit Sudoku1 votespretty sure first season playing you start with 1200 MMR which i think is silver 3 and it will change when you win and lose so if you are going against gold now you just lose until you are where you are suppose to be
Xicashina1 votesGl you'll only be facing players of that elo for the first 10 matches after that the system will have calculated your rank and you should be playing players of your skill level

For people starting ranked the first time, it's possible that normal MMR is a factor - I don't know if it's ever been confirmed or denied, but it would explain a lot of stories I've heard.
Bachus691 votesThanks for the encouragement. Ill just have to see what happens. I suppose they place vs gold to see how good you are. I just don't think that 5 people in placement have any chance vs golds and no chance = no fun to me. For fun is why i play.
Celeste Benal1 votesIf you are going straight into ranked as soon as you hit level 30, you are going to A) piss off a lot of players with your trash-tier skills, and B) get stomped so hard you will never want to play ranked again. Please don't do this. Just because you are 30 does not mean you are ready to play ranked.

m8, seriously, play more normals first. Learn how the meta champs work so you won't get stomped every game.
