For at least 5-7 days. Play data is extremely important during the first week for efficiency.

Play data in the first week really doesn't mean much when very few people have any experience on the champion. Unless you've played them on the pbe, how well you do on the champion in your first couple games doesn't really say much about their state of balance.

I think the compromise here is new champs should not be allowed in ranked but remain unbannable in norms
