LP Gains Seems Off So Far.

Currently an ADC main with 31 games played this season, totalling a 71.0% win rate (22W 9L).

LP gains started at +24 LP/w, then have decreased to +22 LP/w, no skipping promotions, no double promotions. What's the deal? Why is my MMR seemingly getting lower the more games I win?

Obviously, with a 71% win rate I don't deserve to be Gold 4, play every promotion series, on top of having to literally win 5 games in a row to even get into a promotion series.

I literally was getting the same type of LP gains on a hard stuck 300 game Platinum 4 account.

Your MMR isn't getting lower; your rank is getting higher. More specifically, your rank is lower than it should be for your MMR (due to the start-of-the-season reset) and as you play, it's getting closer to what it should be. As the two approach each other, LP gains and losses will approach the center.

MMR and LP are accelerated for the first X games of the season as your volatility has been reset. As you play more games, the system becomes more certain of your approximate skill, and thus winning grants you fewer and fewer points, while losing takes away fewer and fewer points. If your decreasing LP per win was the result of a disparity between your current rank and your MMR, you would expect to see the lower LP per win in addition to greater LP lost per loss.
