Rest in Peace Jungle Quinn (you have taken everything from me)

I can remember when they first released the rework of Karma. I was shocked, dismayed, and disappointed. I liked much of her new kit but could not believe that the champion designers at Riot had taken out her unique passive, which was one of the things that made her very unique and dynamic. The rework of Karma hurt - and I was forced to stop using Karma as my main because there was no longer anything unique or fun about her new kit (maybe if the original passive had stayed in. . .)

So with Karma gone I turned my time towards perfecting my Support Viktor. Back when you were only allowed a single augment I would augment gravity and his gravity field would gain an increased cast range. This was amazing in the bot lane and if you could augment gravity early enough it was almost guaranteed dominance over your lane and safety from jungle ganks. Then - they came for Viktor. Now granted, I can still support Viktor and wreck fools, plus they didn't change his kit TOO much, but what certainly was taken was that his augmented gravity no longer increases the cast range on the gravity field and no longer gave him mana and CDR. This made Support Viktor a lot less safe of a pick and also sort of gutted the fun and integrity of my support Viktor builds and skills.

When they released Quinn, I was very happy we were finally receiving a Damacian ADC; I was also happy that it was a badass chick with a crossbow and an eagle!! I instantly made it a point to start maining Quinn in and out of the bot lane despite the fact that (we all remember this I am sure) she pretty much sucked. Gradually Riot realized that she was not very strong and made appropriate balance updates to her skills and ratios over the months that followed her release. I started jungling as Quinn pretty much as soon as I started playing her and although I had many rough games, I had even more that were not rough and I am quite proud to admit that my legitimate main is (was) Quinn jungle. Her blind helped make clearing jungle creeps a breeze, and her Valor form made her a potentially deadly ganker and counter jungler. I maintain that there were some match-ups that she actually legitimately countered in the jungle such as Yi, Xin, shyvana, etc. . .

I uninstalled League of Legends several months ago from my PC because I was playing it too much, but I have played it every now and then at friend's houses and I have had a lot of fun doing that. Every chance I could get I would que up into a team builder with my Quinn jungle. I didn't even know it but the only reason I would even seek out this game anymore was so that I could get those couple of games in as jungle Quinn, and stomp face in Valor form with my Ghostblade popped blinding whole teams with a single Q.

So you can imagine my utter dismay when I excitedly stopped by my friend's house to get in on some jungle Quinn only to find that my main had been replaced by a gutted, worthless husk of a champion. I know it's just a video game and I shouldn't feel emotionally charged one way or the other about digital meta-realities, but it was upsetting. I suppose the hours I'd spent perfecting my craft of Quinn in the jungle and Quinn ganking really added an element of feeling to my experience of realizing that she had been completely butchered and is now (at the very least) totally useless in the jungle.

No blind. . . No blind?? I feel betrayed.

Valor now comes to pick up Quinn and you move slightly faster but only after a two second channel. This is infuriating. Even if I only played Quinn in the botlane, I do NOT have time to sit there and channel a spell when I need to get the hell out of or into a situation. As a high-damage output squishy champion this really robs Quinn of a viable escape or pursuit method.

You cannot attack anymore when valor is in the battlefield. No increased attack speed as a bird to destroy towers in seconds, no dashing to champions to stay on them and kill them.

Skyfall now does. . .? Jack. Nothing. No damage.

And all this I am sure I am supposed to feel better about because now you can summon Valor basically all the time. Well I don't. I don't feel any better.

Riot Games - I stayed when you killed Karma, I understood the changes to Viktor, but this. . . this is too far for me. You have taken the last thing that made this game worth playing for me. It's been fun, but it's over. I suppose I really should be thanking you for making it easy for me to never play LoL again.

If any of you played a game with me where I was your jungle Quinn or I was your opponent in the jungle, thank you for all the good games and clutch plays that we had. My only regret is that I didn't record some of those games.

TL;DR : Jungle Quinn is dead.

Lol look at my match history, http://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/NA1/2011204120/49881902?tab=overview jungle quinn is better than ever. and it probably will get even better next patch with her blind coming back as a vision reduction (actual blind on minions and mosters). while maintaining a lot of her damage in her Q. With her new map mobility, her jungle can get super strong being able to respond to almost anything

I'm glad to hear that you're holding it down still. I think that my play-style has to change too much. The channeling before the ult is too much, I need that split second.

Jungle Quinn was never a thing, just because it worked sometimes against really low ranking players doesn't really make it a thing.

That is exactly why it sucks to have it made worse. That feeling that you CREATED a way of playing a champ is hard to come by. I have it with my jungle lulu

Wait what? You didn't "create" anything, you're just using a champion in a role that is not suited for them. No one does these things often because they don't work well.

I'm sorry for your loss, but I do like the new Quinn. What can I say, I just love Quinning.

They are adding back in a utility effect for her Q -- it'll be like Graves' smokescreen: if you get hit, your vision will be reduced for a short time.

There is a change on the PBE

When Q hit champs it acts like Graves blind where they have to be really close to hit anything. On minion and monsters, it gives the full blind effect.

I love how they managed to change Quinn without making her less toxic to play against.
