Skin Shard question

I have the zombie brand skin shard, but the options (Activate and upgrade) are greyed out without me doing anything... I have enough essence and i own the champ. what the hell guys? I wanna upgrade to permanent :)

Is the Hextech crafting system perhaps experiencing issues at the moment? I don't see a notification about any such thing, though. But I've never seen greyed-out text in Hextech.

It says that you already own the skin ('OWNED' in top-right corner).

That would be why the upgrade and active options are grayed out.

Oh I only have one skin shard and I thought it was referring to the champ itself. Because I didn't do anything to own that skin, no essence spent or anything... gift from riot?

now I'm feeling dumb, thanks

I'm pretty sure that 'OWNED' refers to the skin, but I might be wrong.

I'd try creating a custom game and check if you own the skin in Champion Select. If you can't select the skin and don't own it, I'd recommend creating a support ticket.

Yes I can use the skin but I thought that somehow it was only activated and I was gonna lose it after 7 days... even though I didn't made any action on the shard. I guess I own it and it was a gift lol
