/dev: Champion Balance Framework

A few months ago, I read your (Riot's) Champion Balance Framework article and I was very hopeful that you were improving the game in the direction that will help everyone. You reflected the importance of balancing the game in Pro Play as well as in other areas such as Elite Ranked play and Average play. Everyone understands why you need to balance for Pro Play and even Elite Ranked play. Some people don't understand the importance of balancing Average play, but I'm glad you (Riot) understands. League of Legends is a product, and it needs to appeal to as many consumers as possible. It wouldn't make sense to balance the game for only Pro Play.

Even so, I don't mind if a champion is only good enough for Pro Play and not good for average play, it happens in many games and its not a big deal.

What is a big deal is when a champion becomes practically dead in all areas of gameplay. You nerfed them for Pro Play, and the nerf trickled down where it became obvious that the champion is just not good enough to compete with other champions.

In your article that I linked, you stated when a Champion would be looked at for tweaking, when they pass the threshold for needing a buff/nerf. I don't pay much attention to what champions are overpowered becuase too many people complain about them and they get nerfs very quickly, and also the ban option is a thing which fixes any champs that are too overpowered for me.

But there are 2 champions that I researched who are indeed in the threshold for needing a buff. One champion you have forgotten about for too long. And this disappoints me, its been months since this article and you haven't touched this champion.

Kalista and Irelia are both in the threshold for needing reworks/buffs. They are too underpowered. Kalista has been forgotten about. I haven't heard any word from Riot about this champion and all I see are stats below 45% winrate. Kalista also has a very low pickrate. I used u.gg for my research. But I've also experienced how underpowered Kalista is. I love to play her, and I even coordinate with my partner regarding her ultimate and everything. I have researched and practiced her enough. Yet I can easily pick up a powerful champion and do better with that champ than I could ever do with Kalista. Which is frustrating.

Please follow your own rules in the article you wrote. Please look at Kalista and rework her. You reworked Mordekaiser and Pantheon. You buffed Akali. You do a lot of good. Just please don't forget about Kalista (or Irelia who also seems to be in this threshold of under 45% winrate in almost all areas of play).

Thanks for your time Riot, and anyone who read this.

TLDR: Riot forgot Kalista They need to follow their article and buff 2 underpowered champs (Kalista and Irelia)

Kalista is intentionally left in a weakened state because when allowed to be strong (or even just decent) she can single handedly shape competitive metas and is one of the best ADCs in the game if not the best.

Irelia wasn't/isn't anywhere near as strong but she was definitely overtuned beforehand.

Also, winrate isn't always everything. Irelia can still perform pretty well which is why her pickrate is still so high even with a 45% WR.
