Little backstory and Question(s) about Transitioning from Silver to Gold

A little while ago before I took a hiatus from this game I went from Silver to Gold. And I believe this happened because after reaching Gold I went on like a 6 game lose streak and just lost motivation to play. Recently I've come back to give it another swing and it's going better I guess.

I think I'm mostly going to focus on playing top to rank up. I was playing Shen but I don't think my current performance on him is good enough for the tier, so I'm mainly playing ignite Garen (should I still be taking ignite over tp at this point).

I really just want some feedback on how I should be changing up how i played from Silver. Like what's changed overall should I be warding more, what's the cs I should be focused on getting at a 15min mark, stuff like that.

If you have any tips and things, it'd be much appreciated.
