This is irritating. How am I supposed to climb if I keep getting gold 4 teams, against full plat teams..

That makes no sense. You should be put against players in the same skill bracket, and if you're better, you climb.
Not this "I have higher MMR so I'm gonna be placed against people who are 6 tiers above me" shit.
if you are against a full plat team that means your mmr is up with thier mmr, you are matched with your mmr not your tier rating
if your mmr is that high its actually easier to climb (atleast from my perspective), since you get more lp for winning than for losing. Assuming you have 50%+ winrate against golds (because of your mmr ) you should still climb, even if you drop to a 50% winrate against plats.
the fishy part is that the average mmr of both team should be more or less the same. So you either play against shitty plats with low mmr, with other golds with higher mmr or you are right and matchmaking is fucking you over, by matching you against teams with a higher average mmr.
But as you can see ranks don´t really matter here it´s mostly about mmr.
