Need help picking a champion [Beginner]

To start off, I ha e no idea where to put this. I need help picking a champion. I know that "Champions will end it finding you", but right now I'm not as close as that as a I thought. So, I'm just lvl 21, and I watch a lot of LoL YouTube videos and streamers. I don't know what role is right for me, the champions that I like to play and main right now is Twisted Fate, sometimes Fiora, and tristina. I can, in reality pretty much do any role.

I really don't know what these champs have in common. I also really like to stick to the meta, right now, I think my options would be; vi, fizz , or even has yasuo. Thanks, even if anyone can reply to this. Btw, I don't have any refunds, because when I didn't know what I was Doin g I just started refunding for no reason lol

i recommend starting with simple champs to get an overall feel for game then going for a champ that you fall in love with and focusing on just them.

Simple champs like:

top= jax, shen, (they arent the easiest to do well with, but their kits are easy to understand) mid= annie adc= sivir support= soraka jungle= warwick, rammus

I'm really don't feel like a beginner, I'm just under level 30. I understand plays, mostly everything. Also, I tried these before; some were good and some were bad thanks :)

I recommend playing the champion you came up with yourself, because usually the one you think you'd like to play is the one that's fun. Fizz is also just hilarious in general.

If you don't mind playing any role, pick a champion that can go anywhere, or someone you are missing from your champion pool. Pick Vi if you need a physical damage tanky frontline, diving fighter (pretty much like a tanky assassin), or good ganker. Pick Fizz if you want a magic damage slippery assassin with flexible build (Can even be AD on hit bruiser). Pick Yasuo if you want a crit AD assassin/fighter with good follow up CC, or if you want to use wind wall.

Having a diverse champion pool is useful unless you're in a team and you're guaranteed a position.

bad idea as a new player he wont be able to even play any of those three champs. You dont need a diverse champ pool because you are not in the lcs and you dont need one if you cant play any champs in the first place.

I think the best way to find a main is to play them, and find you really enjoy it.

  • Each week, try to play one game on each champion in the free rotation.
    • Or in your case, each meta champion on the free rotation.
  • It's usually a reasonable thing to pick up all the (meta enough) 450 IP champions and try them out.

Also subject to your interpretation, if you want to be challenged go for the champs that are higher up and those that interest you. I would go select the highest tier champion that you currently play, then go a tier above. When you master that champ and carry games with him/her/it. Go find a champ in the tier above and play it, so on and so forth. Until you get to very hard and then you can do wtf you want.

I disagree with MasterYi as he could be be easy to hard to even very hard depending on how much you practice him.

Unless you meant to get a very basic skill floor (ease to learn) then I can agree with you.

And tbh I would swap Caitlyn to easy and Jinx to Easy Medium. Cayt has mobility, fire and forget safety, (while Jinx's you have to be able to compensate for the arm time), and has 2 safety moves. Her net and traps. Plus Cayt has 1 skill shot and Jinx has 2. (3 if you count the arm time compensation time).

That was just my opinion. But you took the time to make the list so your call :)

Awww. Hi :)

And tbh I'm inexperienced with many champions so I can't really say

dont play any of the 3. As a beginner play annie, malphite, master yi, garen soraka. Stick to easy champs for now.

Fizz is actually relatively easy to learn and fun to play.

Vi is a fun champion to play and will help you learn or improve your jungle.

Yasuo is an over played champion in my opinion.

I really think u should not play yas or fiz, just cuz there rband almost 100% of the time. i say find a role or champ u love no matter the dif and play them tell u master them. But for beginner go champs that dont have so much skillshots r not so dependent on them, like Poppy Shaco TwistedFate

Depends what kind of champion/role you enjoy most. You've probably not even played 100 games, play a lot more before you decide to dedicate yourself unless you find a champion you really enjoy.

Just find your play style and what you find fun about a certain champion. For me, I love both mobility and being able to deal a lot of damage. I also prefer melee and gap closers that could easily keep you sticking to someone. I ended up choosing Diana. Since the first time I played her, I just couldn't stop. She fit me perfectly.

I say, if you want to find your main, just play the game. Try to play any champions you can. And when you find someone with whom their kit just clicks with you and just... Feel /right/. You've found it.

That being said, go with your gut. If you feel it's Fizz, go with it. But if you're not sure, try everything you can.

Vi is really fun and rewarding, easy enough to get into with only her Q being difficult to get used to, but enough depth to play a ton of games on and still be learning new tricks.

vi. i played her first when i started. around level 10 or so she was on free rotation. it was one of my best matches that far. and shes fun to play. not to mention shes pretty strong throughout all stages of the game and shes really easy to play. you just bash people heads in

Just a few suggestions per role

Top: Jungle: Mid: ADC: Vayne Caitlyn KogMaw are what prefer. Vayne I like how slippery she can be and the damage she does late game. Turns out, %Max HP true damage is good late game. She's a bit more on the offensive side. She can be a bit safe in that she has a dash, but it's on a CD that doesn't start until you hit something. Might not be the best when on the retreat.

Cayt on the other hand, she is a good mix of damage and safety. Her net gives her a very good dash to escape, and slows the enemy it hits. I don't quite understand her changes from 5.22, but she's still generally the same. Others can explain better I think.

The little void puppy, I love how fast he attacks, how he can both mix AD, and AP. Not much explaining needed. Ultimate glass cannon.

Support: Nami Blitzcrank really the only supports I have experience with. Nami I love because she keeps your carry topped off, has very good initiation with her bubble and ult, and her E is a nice bit of utility. And her passive is pretty good too.

Blitz on the other hand, really doesn't help your carry in any way and is what I call a selfish support. The most he can do is heal sometimes using item 3302. However mid and late game is where he shines. A single hook can cause something beautiful. Hooking an enemy can cause them to burn a summoner (possibly both sometimes. Like, summoner 4 to immediately get away, and summoner 7 for the speed boost out.

Vi. Fizz and Yasuo are for depraved insane sociopaths that deserve to die painfully.

What kind of playstyles do you like? Honestly, passive champions with skillshots are the best tools for leaerning the game. With that in mind try; Anivia for top and mid MissFortune for ADC (shes in a really strong place right now) Karma for support Warwick for jungle. Malzahar for mid and top

All of them (except MF) are champions who are easy to use, but have high skill cielings that generally transfer over to other champions. Karma is a GREAT starter support because shes a support/mage who relies greatly on positioning to harass, heal, kill secure, and not die. Wwarwick is one of the easiest junglers there is for beginners. Anivia is a stall lane who can get very tanky with a ton of good soft CC. Malzahar is a farm lane who can farm very quickly and harass incredibly well. He also has versatility in his passive so building a small amount of AD on him can surprise enemies and win lanes easily.
