Fixing the broken jungle

Here's an idea to fix the jungle, to make it in line with the lanes, and to open the meta a bit.

Riot has been going in the direction of making the jungle harder and harder, and giving more rewards for defeating them. They did this so they could restrict jungling to a few champs, which was okay because this list of champs was large enough to still have variety. But now, the rewards are too good so Riot is nerfing them, which restricts the champ pool even further.

Instead of making the jungle very difficult, Riot should do the opposite, and make the jungle incredibly easy!

Hear me out.

Remove the red buff and blue buff from the first six minutes of gameplay. So there is no advantage that jungle has over the lanes.

Also, reduce the experience of the jungle creeps, and their gold value; BUT make their respawn timers incredibly fast; so that it evens out to what it is now, but you have to keep killing them over and over (maybe three times more). But the camps would have substantially reduced stats so this is rather easy.

Junglers would basically be farming the entire duration of the laning phase, NOT be ahead of laners in experience, and NOT have access to the buffs, and basically be a free "laning phase" that only have to deal with invades every now and then, but that wouldn't be a big problem since the camps would spawn so quickly. Weak junglers wouldn't get so far behind to become completely useless and strong junglers couldn't get so far ahead to snowball the game.

This would solve a lot of problems right now, and it would open up the meta quite a bit.

I'm just thinking that Riot is putting themselves in a corner by making the jungle so impossibly difficult, that soon enough, only about five junglers would exist, and even they would need a hard leash.

Riot could even put an effect on the jungle items, that you can only gain experience from the creeps if you have one equipped; so that it gets rid of any early game farming shenanigans from the laners. And have this effect end after the six minute mark.

I think Riot should think of the jungle as an alternative laning phase, and fine tune all their items to make it so that junglers don't have as much power to gank lanes as they do now. They can still gank, but they would do so at a risk of losing farm and time.

Yeah cuz thats the point of jungler is to be afk until team fights :D sounds like you are a just a shitty laner and have no idea how the game works lol

Your hostility is palpable. Perhaps learning some manners is in your best interest.

Your comments would be funny, if they weren't so pathetically sad.

I think this is a great idea. Unfortunately, the direction of the game is basically less and less junglers. There are 52 junglers in the game, but only 18 of them have an over 50% win rate.

on op.gg, there are only 16 junglers with over 50% win rate, out of 39 junglers. Both the highest win rate (Ivern, 56%) and lowest win rate (Diana, 40%) champions in the entire game are junglers.

I fear that after this patch, that number will dwindle to be only about 10 above 50% winrate.

Riot cannot continue in this direction.

If anything I think the jungle should be EASIER to encourage other champions, not just to solidify the current champions aka LEE SIN and KHAZIX
