The problem with Akali isn't the obscurity...
The problem with Akali is the obscurity on a basic ability I mean think about it, her shroud is the signature move in her kit and it has a unique functionality that no other champion has, if that doesn't spell out "ultimate ability" I don't know what does. Akali's gameplay centres around a "hit and run" style, as the champion spotlight says, and I think Akali's shroud was meant to help with such playstyle and make it much more effective for a short duration, what it was _not _meant to be is an ability which bad players can abuse to easily out-trade anyone with little to no counterplay. Making this ability an ultimate would not only "allow" it to be strong and keeping its uniqueness but it would cause its cooldown to be extended, therefore nerfing it's laning phase abuse. Buffs such as increased duration would obviously come to compensate for being an ultimate.
