How to get people to follow your shotcalling?
I'm in Bronze. I'm in Bronze because my mechanics are horrendous. I'm that person that starts channeling an ult, then accidentally cancels it, causing everyone to lose the fight. I'm the guy that flashes away from the enemy only to accidentally hit the blast cone and soar back into their waiting arms. My hands are potatoes. But I have a brain. To explain my frustration with the issue of shotcalling, let me give you an example. One time my team won a teamfight after being behind all game. Four of the enemy were dead. There weren't any easy to knock down towers available (could have maybe gotten one before they were back up) so I desperately pinged baron, and typed "let's do baron" in chat. "No," said one teammate. "We're still behind." "But they're dead," I said. I watched the death timers click down to 49 seconds. "No," said a different teammate. They all proceeded to chase the last enemy champion/farm/etc. I stared at my screen in helpless befuddlement. It's not as if I can solo baron. I think I can shotcall better than most people in my rank, but no one will listen to my calls because I'm 4/5/3 when the talkative riven has 14 kills. Is there a way to convince people to listen to me, when they can't use common sense on their own?
