I found recently a summoner called Kuyu or something like that, he was playing Kayn up in top and was decimating my team, upon looking at his profile he has only played kayn in top? away from his designated role? Possible Meta Shitft? or what, i followed his build orders and it seemed to work. any thoughts?

No kayne top is not broken, it has plenty of weakness. One big weakness is the lack of combos he can do in a fight.

should be able to destroy him, They have a q-e dedicated to fighting, and passives to help them out in long term fights.
he defaintly has his pros like
-Can Escape ganks easily if positioned at a wall -Can do quick reliable burst -Scales well in both forms to be a fierce split pusher
But he most certainly has his weakneses
-if not next to a wall is pretty easy to gank -Very squishy even if u go rahst -horrible at trading with certain laners.
He is really good vs tanks in rhaast form top for sure, if you buy cleaver + last whisper, you pretty much kill tanks in two spelk rotations , no matter how tanky they get, due to his q and ult doing insane % hp dmg.
