Removal of Ranked 5's

I read today on reddit that Riot are now planning on removing ranked 5 teams and I wanted to express my extreme displeasure with this decision. For myself and most of my friends our ranked team is one of the main reasons that we still play the game. We also all are planning on buying name changes that incorporate our team name one ranked resets. If ranked 5's are removed I would strongly consider quitting the game, and the ranked teams feature is one of my favorite in League of Legends. I don't completely understand why, even if not many people by riot's metrics are a part of ranked teams, they feel it is necessary to remove it. Even people I know that weren't part of a dedicated ranked team thought that it was a fun idea and would make teams for fun. I've never heard anybody say "You know they should really remove ranked teams, nobody uses it and it seems like an outdated game feature, I don't know why they still even have it." You know what I have heard that exact sentence about? Dominon. Now I'm not advocating for the removal of Dominion, but it's just an example of riot tunnel visioning on certain aspects of the game and constantly changing things that are necessarily an issue.

I'm not sure what is the best thing for me to do to show riot that I don't want them to remove ranked teams, so if I should instead send a support ticket or if there is already a thread with this same subject please let me know. Thanks.

Riot is adding a club system that allows you to put tags infront of your names for free so don't waste your money. Also Riot will create a supplement because if they don't how will new challenger teams qualify for LCS? Just stick around until you hear more news not everything is set in stone and you could be happy with what riot has planned for teams. My guess is that if you premade 5 for Dynamic there won't be a rank invite restriction and it will be a separate rank from your normal Dynamic rank.

I believe I heard somewhere that each region may be deciding their own process for seeding challenger teams that doesn't involve team queue, but regardless that isn't my main concern (I ain't getting into the LCS anytime soon). My biggest fear is that they only keep the 5 man dynamic queue and don't have anything separate as far as ranked teams. I don't want to play against a collection of randoms when we queue up for our ranked team, I want to play against other teams.

96% of the time right now if you were to queue as a 5 man in ranked you would go against another 5 man in ranked. Riot could just make it happen 100% the time if they wanted to.

Yeah but a lot of the time those 5 man won't actually be a tfixed eam, but rather five random friends grouping up for the evening.

You can still go in the dynamic queue as five and have matching names and claim you have a team name. You'd really be missing out on absolutely nothing at that point. The only difference is that once in a blue moon you'll end up against a 4+1 or a full house team to reduce your queue times.
