To rework or not to rework.... Seriously Riot, stop the mind games.
Dear Rito,
Please learn from your mistakes. About a year ago you talked about the Warwick rework in preparation of Season 5 as you knew the changes would make him a little bonkers. Then once people realized how op he was, everyone got on the bandwagon and he needed to be nerfed, but we had hope that one day our beloved dog would receive some love. Maybe Riot would be kind enough to give him some wheels for the legs they amputated. I mean the hungry guy has gotta get around some how am I right? What happened to the rework you told us about as a justification for going overboard on his nerfs. Yes he needed nerfs, but you blatantly went Olaf'ing him as you told us a rework would happen 2015. It is also not fitting that you gut Warwick so hard when tanks need a predator in this tank meta and who better than man's trusted and loyal hound. I am not asking for anything to be reverted on Warwick, but I am asking you to fix his kit like you did with Urgot. Urgot received calculated changes over the course of several patches to prevent him from being to OP like his glory days. Why can this not be done with Warwick, it is done with so many other champions now. Yes, Urgot, is powerful now but that may also be because of so little play on him, that people don't really know how to beat him yet. Last year, the Warwick rework mentioned changing his kit to do %health damage with a stacking heal on his auto as an incentive to constantly be auto attacking. The rework also mentioned his Q being changed to two auto-attacks dealing magic damage rather than physical. I believe this part of the rework would be the change he needs and I don't think we need to wait another two years of reach arounds before we get there. It really frustrates us when you talk about reworks and put them on hold for what... another champion. The rework is a new champion to us! the only difference is Riot doesn't make money on it when the champion is over 5 years old. With all the staff you have, why is one person responsible for Warwick or this said new champion? I honestly am disappointed with you Riot because you take champions and gut them because you don't want to deal with them. You then wait and wait and wait, throw in a few lies for good measure in the mixing pot, and wait and wait until everyone forgot a rework was even mentioned until you bring it up again.
All we want Riot is for you to think before you talk. We are fine with brainstorming and proposing ideas to bounce of the community, but there are differences between saying something like yeah we might do a rework, versus, "we are reworking Warwick to be done in early 2015". if you say your gonna do something, can you set up a deal to actually follow your commitment within a year, I mean that is plenty of time for you to complete a rework when your actually working on it. Otherwise just be a real person and with honesty say "we might do a rework, no promises as we cannot commit a staff members time to it until we have release our champion quota for the new season," Honesty is the best medicine Riot, and you lying to us doesn't really provide a good example to summoners in life or in the game.
