Is he like the champ that no one talks about even thou he is actually pretty good.

not to get mad at his success but it seem pretty consistent
it seems i hit a patch in playing that he keeps popping up in 1/2 the games and for the most part on the winning team.

Last few patches? Brah, Amumu's win rate has never been below 50% and consistently stays at 52% or higher.

Good throughout the rift, his CC alone allows him to be good on any team comp. His only downside is his slower jungling and susceptibility to counterjungling, besides that, dude is solid.
Just walk into his jungle and kill him early. He can't escape without burning Flash and he can't fight most of the other junglers.
Amumu is top tier in lower ranked play and falls down in tier in higher ranked play. Basically, low ranked players don't understand how to exploit his weaknesses. This is a common problem with lower ranked play: players just don't understand the strengths and weaknesses of champions they play against.
amumu is a hyper tank who does stagering amounts of damage just by being IN the fray. his W is % health damage, his bandage toss is a long stun, and his ult is a long stun.
