Why does my wifi mess up only when I play League?

Everything else works fine (Ex. YouTube, Reddit) while League is still open but it says "reconnecting" when music from YouTube is still playing from the background. It happens about 3-4 times a game and I'm really getting sick of it.

Could just simply be your bandwidth. If you are just listening to YouTube, try turning the video quality down to the lowest quality. If you have ping spikes even after trying that, try playing the game with your browser closed.

Are you new or is this just a recent issue? Do you have internet slow downs currently due to bad weather?

My ping remains the same throughout even when listening to videos or when I have nothing else on. I haven't thought of playing the game with the browser closed but I have closed it out when reconnecting and that didn't help. This has been going on for about 3 months and it's gotten progressively worse. Weather isn't the issue here either. I'm stumped.

I dunno how much your router settings have been changed... But when I was at visiting my dad for a weekend I was literally unable to play due to his router settings. He had some ports blocked, had some throttling on the bandwidth, etc. Didn't effect most things, but it turned out to totally screw the League connection.

Maybe try resetting your router to factory defaults(And re-updating the firmware). It might not make a difference, it might already be at defaults, etc.. Best suggestion I have though :)

Thanks a lot! I hope it works! I'll get back to you if I see any difference.

Like I said, it might not make any difference at all. It could just be that your Internet Provider has horrible connections with the League Servers or any number of other things. Just the only thing I could think of that MIGHT help off the top of my head. Hope it makes some difference for you though.

Side note - Try it hard wired to your router(if you can) if you play wireless usually. Usually makes a decent little difference.

I see, I hope this gets some attention then. Good luck on finding a solution.
