How to balance the game

Dear Riot: Lol is a game for skilled players, or at least it was, the players that had more control of the champions and more knowledge of the game itself would scale in game more easily and progride faster in rank. Today things are a little bit different, the game has become bigger with more champions and more itens to study and know about, not hard to understand to those who play the game frequently and to those that like to make an effort to be informed of current changes, but to others it became a big mess with lots of headache, also the community has become huge and impossible to control, due to all this, the game has become harder to balance for riot, mainly in match making. It has been very hard to get balanced teams, mainly in rank, it is very unfair to players that want to play the game and try to do it well, have to be in a team where are unskilled ones, that go to rank playing champions for the first time, that the game is not going to well for them and they put the blame on their team mates and start to flame, trolling or go afk, among other bad things... Well i think Riot can do more, so i leave here my humble suggestions for match balance:

To start no player should be allowed to go to a ranked game with a champion that he is playing for the first time, it should have at least mastery level 3 or above, with that champion to enter a ranked game. Players who play well should be always rewarded even when they are doomed to be in poor teams, so riot could implement a MVP (Most Valuable Player) system in ranked games, should not be hard since it has already the classification in the end of the game with a scale from C to S+. MVP? How should it work? In my opinion, there should be an MVP on each team, (and) (or) a MVP of the game.

The MVP of the defeated team should not lose any league points or at least lose a lot less than usual, this would make that players try harder to play well even when they see that the game is probably lost, i think beside compensating better players it would bring less trolls and less afk's.

The MVP of the winning team should be compensated too, with more league points, or more IP points (Blue essence, next season), or loot itens.

Hope this opinion can help...

Matchmaking =/= balance

While matchmaking doesn't equal balance, no one wants a first time Tryndamere top lane who's going ap.

outside of bronze, you wont see anyone go ap trynd without trolling

and then mastery doesnt matter

Imo Mastery should NEVER play part in if the person can play them or not unless it's 6 or 7, as that actually means you HOPEFULLY know what you're doing. Which is why mastery shouldn't take place, not everyone has champs at 6 or 7.

What should be taken into consideration in MY opinion, feel free to comment on what you think should/shouldn't and why:

  • When the champion was released.
  • How many games someone has on the champion.
  • Which mode champion was most used in - ie. bot games, normals, aram etc.
  • How well they can farm depending on the champion - ie. a Vayne should be able to farm decently while in lane while a Soraka shouldn't while in lane if adc is there.

Champion released is self explanatory... no one other than those who do it want an Ornn in their ranked game only a few days after his release.

How many games and which modes kinda goes together. If they have 100 games of Jhinn in bots, but none in aram or normals I'd be iffy with him being on my team.

Farming is also kinda self explanatory. If a Vayne is constantly ending 40 minute games with low cs(under 100?) then they wont do well against someone who constantly has higher cs.

Again, these are just my opinions, and others can share there opinions and thoughts on what should/shouldn't be taken into consideration.

I 100% guarentee you that getting lvl 6 or 7 mastery does not mean anything. I have a lvl 7 Mastery on Jhin and I am horrible as ADC complete garbage. I just have to be better then the other laner. It also depends on the game in general. I can farm all game and look my jungler is about to kill someone I now snipe that kill away from him. Tilted people do stupid things such as running at a fed Jhin 1 by 1 to die. I even had a jungler with 100 hp gank my lane as you can tell I snowballed that game when I played adc.

I know, I'm mastery 6 with Morgana and I'm terrible with her. Hence why I said "might know what they're doing". I never said they would 100% know what they were doing. [sg-ahri-2]

Limiting based on mastery is an issue because it prevents effective champ trades. It also would make auto fill even worse since not only are you in an off role but you also can't play 90% of the champion pool and are forced into something that's complete trash.

When i said that they had to have at least mastery 3, it´s just to guarantee that ate least you know what the champion does, the cold downs, and a good build for it... Should be able to know this at level 3 mastery on a champ. Regarding the concern of autofill, come on is not that hard to get level 3 mastery.
