Should we change Nautilus AP scaling to AD scaling?

I am a nautilus main, I love this champ a lot and its actually the first reason why i started LoL, but since, he's to week to be a top lane, to aggressive to be a support and to slow and not damagy enough to be a jungler. Even if he's considered as the kind of proud control, he's still to weak, and i dont see any logic to his Q to have an AP scaling, and it will also help with the passive (witch is great but scales bad with an "AP" champion), most of the time you'll feed out you a** in the top lane or you'll ks your ADC's kills for being to agressive. And his W also should be AD for the bonus damage. I dont know what you think about it but i'll dream that nautilus could be "viable" again in the top lane. Thanks. PS: I'm serious....he throws an ancre at your face....were is the magic in that? item 3748 + Nautilus = OP OK?

He is perfectly fine as an all-in tanky support, who fills the same rola as blitzcrank and thresh but with different characteristics.

His ability to stun, gap close and set up kills is really good. IMO he is one of the best on bot, but he is underused.

Haha but i loved your last comment. I guess theres no magic in that, but this game has a very wonky definition that an ability is magic, it doesnt matter if you are throwing a ball of pure magical energy or a rusy axe XD

This is exactly what im saying, he's an excellent support, but in the role of top laner, this is an all other thing, i am mastery 5 nautilus and i've never been more disappointed than seeing this champion late game as a top laner, at least giving him, like one ability that gives Max health damage to be more viable in late game as a top laner. Thanks

Naut is a good top laner atm. Not sure what you're getting at

In early game i dont tell, but you can not denie that he's pretty bad, he is more a support in late game than a carrying top laner Thanks.

At least they should give him some kind of % Max health on his W like they did to Shen's Q Thanks.

Nautilus is great in the top-lane if you understand your purpose there.

While you are quite capable of winning against many opponents top-lane, that is a just bonus. Instead, you want to survive top-lane (possibly setting up ganks on your opponent) and become and unkillable CC-monster during teamfights.

Nautilus' standard build (item 3068 item 3025 item 3065) already provides a significant amount of damage anyways.

Are you using the correct skill order? You generally want to rank your abilities as follows: EWEQER, R>E>W>Q

I agree with you, this is even my usual build with some more tanky items, and CC is great in the top lane but just, almost all the top laners have an ability that deals % Max health, and this is the problem of nautilus, if you dont go full AP, you'll almost won't deal damage, and if your allots aren't there is a fight between your and ( for example ) a poppy ( who goes tanky ), you have a biggest chance to lose this fight, and there CC won't do anything to help you kill her. He is a good adc and mid-lamer crusher but compared to other top laners, like volibear or as i said earlier poppy, he have less chances to win that fight than the two others. LoL is about fun, so i expect deal a lot of damage as this big monster of a man, but no it finishes looking like a noodle battle. Even sion one of my other main, doesn't have any % manx health scaling on his ability's (do not count his passive ), but his Q deals 150 % of his AD, so why a champ that costs 1350 IP should be more OP than one who costs 4800? Thanks.

If you want to play a high-damage champion, then Nautilus probably isn't for you. That is neither his purpose nor his strength.

He is a nigh-unkillable titan who initiated fights, locks down targets and gradually wears down opponents around him. He is quite capable of killing squishy opponents if he gets onto them, but his primary role is to CC targets so that his allies may kill them.

Even sion one of my other main, doesn't have any % manx health scaling on his ability's (do not count his passive )

Even ignoring his passive, Sion's W deals percentage health magic damage.

but his Q deals 150 % of his AD, so why a champ that costs 1350 IP should be more OP than one who costs 4800?

The cost of a champion has absolutely nothing to do with their strength.

As you said "He is a nigh-unkillable titan who initiated fights",you are right with that bit what can you initiate in mid game when all the top lane have high % max health damage, in the bot lane ok, he's pretty good there, but he's also suppose to be a top laner, and a top saner should do damage even if they are full tank, like: Fiora, Mundo, Poppy, Volibear, and even Tahm Kench who is officially a support. And if for you supporting doesn't mean do damage then i do not understand why in the world Tahm Kench deals 32 % of his target max health with his W at LVL 5 ( the capacity not the champion ). And when you tell "The cost of a champion has absolutely nothing to do with their strength", so why do people even echo for them then? Where is the logic in it? Recalls, no most of 4800 champ do not have a recall. For when then? Play style? Where is the play style in a battle of noodles. I accept the fact that some champs dont do a lot of damage but i do not accept that the champion that was in an official LoL trailer, that literally one shoted graves and ahri, hit less harder that a box of wet noodles. Thanks.
