Illaoi, Tahm Kench, Braum

No it hasn't been awhile. And there is no such thing as a main role. Tahm Kench is more known for being absurdly tanky than he is a support.

Tahm and Illaoi are both Juggernauts.

Braum was the last true tank we got.

they are still extremely tanky, Tahm in some cases beats the crap out of Zac in terms of being a tank (E is ridiculous). Illaoi in certain circumstances as well (ult in the midst of their team and get tons of tentacle hits? Boom, lots of healing.)

Illaoi is a bruiser, not a tank. She deals crap tons of damage with high sustain but is actually fairly squishy save for her high hp.

Braum is a support tank, he deals no damage but has massive utility.

Tahm is a juggernaut... kinda, he doesn't really do damage till he hits 6 but you typically won't be building items that allow him to do lots of damage anyway so, he's more of a tank but pretty much he's just better off as a support tank.

Zac was the last true tank to be released, before him it was darius.. then hecarim, naut, sej, voli... you get it... it has been a while. One of the big issues with getting a new tank is that the current meta of the game is 'whats a tank?' so if we were to get one, it would be freakishly tanky in an actual tank meta season.

Braum is a true tank... he does considerable amount of damage on his own due to his passive and has a crap ton of utility for their team. He actually can solo lane but he won't be able to carry on his own and thus people just rather take him as support since most of not all of his utility will be usable anyway.
