Why do Promos suck so hard?

I'm a Silver 3 player who wants to improve, and I am, I climbed from Bronze 2 last season to Silver 3 this season.

I wanted to see if anyone here feels the same about Promos. Is it just me or do I always get matched up with completely useless teammates? I mean, I got into my Silver 2 Promos, lost them because I played badly. Then I went on a 2 win streak and just carried those two games to get into my Promos again, then I played my first promo. My team was literally useless and obviously not focused.

Does anyone get these useless feeding teammates in Promos? And for anyone telling me to carry games, true, but I can't carry a team who just doesn't want to communicate or win.

The system does work against itself slightly as you need to win a game once to get into them and then with 2/3 of those games so your MMR raises while still requiring you to win 75% of your games over a 4 game stretch. If you can keep getting into the promos then you will get it eventually, I have a friend who was in bronze 1 to silver 5 promos in and out about 8 times before finally getting through and then quickly raising up to silver 2 as a support main.

Everytime I get into my promos I get at least one afk or leaver. Every single time. The problem never ends.

i think promos are fine. when i get promoted i usually win the following games. its just keeping the promo since my games are 5 wins then 5 loses it feels lol. that is just an extream mostly it is win/lose all day so i slowly gain lp that way and when i hit promos it jst win win promoted.

They're going to change it, but in the preseason. Most likely you can move freely between divisions, and you play promos to up to a new tier (bronze -> silver). Other things are being thrown around like if you've already played a promo you start with 1 win. etc. At least Riot is going to do something!

Imo Riot needs to do something about this. I mean changes like this don't help in the slightest the trolls of the community because if we could get like a win or even jump the promotion all together we would all be a lot better.

Another thing they could do is make promotion games only from tier to tier (broze->silver) it makes no sense to have promo's for each division when the skill level is the same
