Maybe mindless salt, but Ekko feels like he has way too much utility to be an assassin.

Ekko was made to be an assassin but after really thinking about it, he has so much in his kit aside from assassinating people.

Is there any reason an assassin needs to have an aoe 1.75 second stunfield that also gives them a crazy shield? As well as a passive slow AND speed increase, plus a free blink?

Compare that to any other assassin and you won't see nearly as much of this. Zed, Leblanc, Talon, and Rengar are much better as being an assassin concept because they do high damage, have little cc, and the cc they do have is usually single target.

The "fantasy" (I hate that word when it's to do with character design) is that he's the utility assassin who lacks straight up burst but makes up for it with the ability to do big things if he plays his cards right. Of course that's not how it turned out, but that was the intention.

Honestly as long as he has that AoE stun then I think he'd work better as fighter or tank than an assassin.

His mobility combined with tankiness brings a super sticky tank, unlike any other.

''According to Riot, Hes a fighter not an assassin!! fighters are supposed to have utility!!''

Shut up.

I believe Riot coined the term "utility assassin" on his reveal page. In retrospect, what a huge joke lul.

He has always been a fighter to me, even Diana is more of an assassin than Ekko. But you know what Kassadin is a Diver.

As an AP Ekko main, yeah his W gives a lot of utility. They need to remove some to make him more of that assassin role
