Rank System Idea

Hello Everyone!

I just recently played my first 10 placement games, and obviously the result is very bad. I don't quite understand how does the elo system works this season but I felt like it actually gotten worse than before. I'm not sure if anyone here familiar with CS:GO's ranking system but apparently the points are judge by various performance by the player. For example: objectives, KDA, or cs. We could reduce the amount of LP deducted from the player if he/she performance above adequate, and deduct the usual LP off from the players who are doing bad or even AFK. As I see, the skill required from players are getting less and less. Simply pick a meta champion and snowball is good enough. It is probably where my rank is but I felt like silver, gold or even plat players are playing....not what they should be performing. Just wondering how do people get boosted that high rank and still play like a bronze. Whats the catch here? I'm appreciate that trolls and AFKs have gotten less, but numbers of non-skill players increased by a huge amount.

People have suggested this before, it will not work. If you look at solo performance, the game turns into long drawn-out deathmatch. The winning team is going to try to keep the game going as long as possible for LP, and the losing team is going to do nothing/FF/afk so they don't have as bad a KDA.

As for players skill level, bronze and silver has the largest portion of the player base. You can't expect every person to have the same level of knowledge. Especially towards the beginning of the season, when MMR is still evening out.

Thank you my man i agree with you 100% on what you said. People in gold n silver play like bronze and bronze who I match up with are trolls and pure toxic when they do mad ingame and not near my skill level.
