It is impossible to get a 'S' as a support...
Has anyone else noticed how it's almost impossible to to be rewarded a 'S' as a support??? I went 0/1/23 and only got an 'A'.

I know what you need to get is dependent on your champion and role, but I almost always get S with Nami.
Yeah, I find it easiest to get an S on a support.
What's your average score? I main nami and last games i played 1/0/22 but still got an A-
WHATS YOUR SECRET?
Your lower score could likely be because you need to ward a lot more. That Sightstone isn't there for the health, try to keep up 3 wards on the map (and a Pink) and aim for 1 ward per minute (you won't get there, but try).
Your last game may have been 1/0/22, but on average you get a lot of deaths. Try to stay safer during fights and be prepared to disengage if they turn on you, and use your wards to prevent being ganked.
Your kill participation averages around 50% or lower, and for an S you probably need up around 70-80% so try and show up for fights more often. Even if all you do is E them so they can run faster it still helps (if someone is Teleporting out next to you it's a good idea to buff them, because if they go in and get a kill quickly you'll get an assist).
I have gotten all 5 of my S ranks on Support. How is your warding? Are you buying pink wards? HOWEVER, sadly, I don't think that I've ever gotten an S rank with 0 kills. I usually get 1-3 kills in a game where I got an S rank... Not that I'm recommending KSing something sometime...
My biggest problem is Keys. I've gotten 5 chests... but only 4 key fragments. Key fragments seem so much harder to get.
EDIT: What DEHITAY said
Support takes warding and other factors into consideration. Though in retrospect, I don't ever recall getting an S as support without getting at least 1 kill.
I used to all the time, but I think they've changed the way the scores are given.

No it doesn't. I went 1/4/28 and got an A+ with wards all over the map.
I went 4/2/23 with a little less than what was above and I got an S.
Supports are expected to get kills, apparently. Lmao. Editted for clarity.
do better
thats because someone somewhere eventually takes the support champion, like alistar, top lane, gets a high creep score with it and screws the database for what the average player should have. as you're rated against other players who play the champion. and what the average is for everyone.
so its literally impossible to get best score.
but if you take taric top... or janna mid... enjoy your free S rating.

It's basically this. Try going with a support that has no wave clear.

they take roles into consideration, so if you select alistar and top lane you're compared to alistar top laners. also i've been told it also compares you to your teams overall performance as well
Doesn't Riot have an API that actually keeps track, with relative accuracy (because roaming and lane swapping is a thing), of where champions go?
I mean, if you're going to make claims like that, at least back it up because my results said otherwise. I'd agree that taking a champion into a non-meta role and doing well is likely to get you a higher rank, but I can't agree with your first paragraph because you didn't support it... and sites such as champion.gg use Riot's API (here's a handy link) to track positions, builds, and picks. They even flat out state they use the API to determine the position based on the areas they spend in the early game.
Just... fact check yourself when trying to help other players. Spreading mistaken information doesn't :/
I got one the other day :O
The only support I've received consistent S's with is Leona. Supporting as Annie / Morgana regardless of KDA / CS / Wards I seem to be a solid A... but that indicates to me that using typical "mid lane champs" as supports is volunteering for lower rankings.
S on blits Taric and Nautilus almost...ALMOST every game...
It's weird when I don't get at least an S as Janna (assuming my team doesn't get slaughtered of course). And even then I have four or five losing S-'s.
I get S's all the time with Braum.
I've gotten a few S ranks on Nautilus support, and I had a Janna support that got an S the other day.
It's not that hard.
Sit on fountain and spam sightstone, kill steal shamelessly, take farm.
Congratulations, you just got S as a support.
Yep, this is pretty accurate
I get S on supports roughly 75% of winning games and 30ish% of losing games...it's not overly difficult.
I've gotten S rank 10 or more times on support. Moreso since the hextech update went live. So sorry, but not impossible.
I've gotten an S as Support a few times....
I've heard about people abusing support items on champion's to get an easier S, but i'm not sure if and how it works?
For instance if a midlaner picks up gold item / sightstone his CS requirements drop immensely as they get treated as though they are a support This almost guarantees an S rank since most supports don't get much CS and to the game it looks like this person performed extremely well in that area. However since S rank is based on everyone in a certain role it shafts people actually playing those champions as support since the standards for CS have just been increased due to a bunch of "support" with a 200+ CS score.

nah, the system still recognizes the midlaner as spending most of his early game in midlane. However, if you were to take a midlaner such as Yasuo and go bot lane and even pick up a support item, you would get an easy S if you did decently.
First time I played Soraka after the mini-rework she got recently I got an S. Definitely possible to get an S rating on support. I think a big part of whether you get S or not on sup is warding (this is also significant to other roles, but even more so for support and jg).
In my experience the easiest way to get an s is to play an off meta support like kennen, poppy, elise and do well with it.
I have gotten and S with EVERY support in the game. The strongest supports are actually the hardest to do it with since your score is balanced against all other players of that champion. This makes it hard since most players put up good numbers with them.
0-0-25 nami. a+ sigh...
I did a test and bought 20 pink wards, warded about 120 times, and had little to no affect on my score.
Apparently I've gotten an 'S' grade a few times as well... https://s6.postimg.org/k3q8og0y9/screenshot.png
ive gotten quite a few s's and find it easier than getting s's in top for instance my 71 % winrate taric nets me s's every time i preform at my standard
