Tankali

How long before Rito accepts that this is way of gameplay being viable on Akali is toxic? They immediately nerfed zed after GBM's game. I guess they really have changed to balance stuffs based LCS.

Before any of you trash talk to me, Yes I am unranked and I suck at this game and tankali is not helping me learn.. there is nothing I can do vs someone who is constantly on your face and take very little damage in return while dealing comparatively more.

Tank Akali is strong only against certain teams. If you drafted only champs that will build no heavy armor penetration and have no hard CC then yeah you are screwed. If your team is mostly magic damage and you don't get your team to help shutting her down before she grabs Visage + Abyss then again you will be screwed.

There are very few who can duke it out with a tank Akali solo and prime among them would be Darius and Trundle. Both of them completely destroy a Tank Akali. That being said an AP Akali that is good can still beat them if no junglers come to pester her, however, AP Akali has significantly weaker teamfights.

Akali is balanced, no matter what others may say. I have more than 1600 games on her and still lose lanes and games (54% win rate).

  • Her balance is in the risk of picking her. If the enemy can group at any point and you are not well ahead and tanky you will be useless against a good team that knows how to peel for his carries... basically almost any team past the Plat 3 Elo.

  • Her laneing is terrible and only Akalies that are more skilled than their opponents can survive the first 6 minutes without giving a significant lead to the enemy laner that will make them completely unkillable in 1vs1 duels.

  • People complain about her not having skillshots... Did you know that literally half the champions in league can destroy her if they land everything they have? Akali needs to dodge skill shots to win fights when she is not brutally ahead of them, so there is skill in playing her whether it's in choosing to go in when the spells you find dangerous are blown or going in with confidence to dodge them.

  • The moment Akali is in this situation of not being the strongest 1vs1 duelist in the game she becomes extremely difficult to play. You need to get farm but not let your towers die all the while trying to mitigate the damage if your fed laner roams and not taking all the farm from your teamates.

In other words - If you ever lose the lane, unless both your other lanes won or you have a very fed hyper carry you are 90% sure to lose the game.

Akali is strong but she needs items.

  • Her passive is literally the strongest in the game in terms of scaling but it does not promote tank play a lot. She needs AP and AD to be a power house and not just defense.
  • Believe me that against a tank Akali just 1 item that has armor and HP will be enough to prevent a quick burst (tank Akali does Raw 1700 damage at most in 3 sec and uses her Titan hydra active and most of her energy for it.) and if all your carries have one defensive item and she engages carelessly on you, she will get screwed.
  • She also runs out of energy when spamming her E, efficiently cutting her damage in half after the 5 sec mark of a fight.

Being a good Akali after gold takes a lot of skill. Before that Elo, people are just bad and will give you free kills letting you get an item ahead and kill things in a single combo but a lot of champs can stomp the lower Elo so stop complaining about Akali. Yi, Fiora, Irelia, Jax, Trynda can all snowball harder than her when faced with weak and unorganized enemy team.

**There is no possible solution for her at the moment with her kit being what it is. If riot decides to nerf her base damages she will be forced into building glass cannon every game with all her items and be completely unplayable since any stun even in a 1vs1 situation would mean her death. If Riot increases her scaling to compensate for the base damages she will truly do Pentas in every game she gets her gunblade before the 12th-minute mark. The rework on her is needed if they want to remove the Tank Akali without killing her entirely. **

I have destroyed every Fiora player back when she was the OP on my smurf account that is low Plat by simply outplaying them. When I got to play against some of the Top 1000 Fiora players (I'm in the top 1000 Akalis) on my main I was faced with a monster that was unbeatable in lane. (Fiora also counters tank Akali or AP Akali if she is skilled)

Skill matters my friend, it's not just mashing buttons and hoping for the best (at least not after Plat).

Don't complain about Akali but learn to play her greed or draft against her. Every Akali has the greed, the hunger. Akali needs to get a lead and snowball it, being the mid game powerhouse she is. Every good Akali will take a lot of risks starting minute 8 and before the 25th-minute mark.

Brash tower dives, 1vs2 or 1vs3s all they can just to get that gold lead that will let her close a game by killing 2-3 people very quickly in a teamfight. When she doesn't get that lead and the only fights on the map become the teamfights - she will be extremely underpowered unless the enemy team makes a mistake in their positioning that she can use.

Otherwise, teams start grouping and chain CC her to death making her lack of utility the reason for your defeat.

Her feast or famine playstyle is not something I greatly admire about her, but it is something I have come to accept. With greater risks come greater rewards and playing Akali is risky.

Question is, have you ever tried doing it yourself. Studies show most people can't beat what they never try for themselves. If you play it and learn how they master it you will learn the flaws of it.

Yeah, I've heard this described as the easiest way to find the weakness of something is to play it. Your opponents will show you the weaknesses.

However, as a person who does not own all the champions, #FeelsBad to have to buy the champion. ;)

Thank you I will try it to see how to counter it. It still feels like a toxic way to play an assassin.

They upgraded to tank ekko

Tank Ekko barely works now too, I can't remember what they nerfed but they nerfed something that downsizes his tankiness, now he's more of an AP assassin...as he should be.

Tank Ekko is still a thing man. Look at LCS they have been spamming it since the recent buffs.

Nah it actually just got better with the recent ekko buffs. He's an absolute monster right now.

57.7% Win Rate is barely working?

You have odd standards.
