i have played my placement matches (first 10 ranked games) and won 8 and lose 2 but im still bronze v but people say if u win 8 games ull end up in silver

PunkDisorder1 votesIt seems almost random...I went 6/4 when I was Plat 4 last season and ended up silver 2. Had another friend who was the same rank, when about 4/6 and was Gold. Probably just an RNG, knowing Riot
ModWulf Helhammer1 votesThere was a soft reset, which means people will get placed lower then they finished last season.
The point of ranked is to show how skilled you are, and if you can't climb back to where you were last season within a reasonable amount of time (and the system will actually give you more LP of you belong higher), then you didn't belong there in the first place
