I still don't understand what's so hard to grasp.
You get 810-1260 BE per level up, which can take about 10 wins or 13-15 mixed results at worst. That translates to 81-100 IP on average per average game in the long run with is very consistent with the old system (using the non bugged IP gains)
If you aren't hitting a minimum of 810 per level, contact support. What individual shards you get is fucking irrelevant, since the net result should be within that range.
The problem with the new system is not that the levels do not give an equivalent amount of BE (which by the way, in my level up I got only 2 270 BE and 2 90 BE shards, total 720 BE, so they do not). The issue is that it harms consistent players while rewarding those who play one or two games per day.
How you might ask? Let's assume that your average League game lasts 30 minutes (low for some, but just to be conservative with time estimates here). According to the support page "On average, a 30 minute win will earn approximately 204 XP, and a 30 minute loss will earn approximately 167 XP". The required XP to level up to 31 (and several levels thereafter) is 2496. Let's imagine two players: One plays League like a true fan, with 5 hours per day, while the other plays until he wins and then calls it a day. Assuming both of these players have a 50% winrate, what occurs.
For the consistent 5 hour player, they play 10 games, 5 wins and 5 losses. Including first win bonus, this player makes 2430 XP per day. For the one win guy, on half his days he plays 2 games, one loss then a win. On the other half, he just plays one win. In the first scenario, he gets 946 XP. In the second, he gets 779. On average, he gets 862 per day.
First guy gets one level on average every 1.03 days, which constitutes an average of 5 hours and 10 minutes of gameplay to level up. Second guy however, using his average of 862 per 45 minutes (1 hour vs half hour day), gets a level every 2.9 days which is only 2 hours in 10 minutes.
This means, on average, it takes a consistent player 3 MORE HOURS to level up than someone who barely plays the game. And THIS is what most people are mad about with the new system: it causes grinding where the grinding feels pointless.
