Hey guys, Now that we know the new Warwick kit, do you guys think he'll be viable in the top lane ?

I would say so. He doesn't have mobility escapes but no one below 50% can gank w/o him knowing. If he feels threatened he can activate W to see if their is an enemy nearby.
Q mana cost is gonna hurt a bit but it is good for trading. Does draw minion aggro so you can't trade w/o minion damage. E makes for good short trades/escaping ganks although the long cd means that he has large openings.
Ult is ok in terms of top. Nothing special. Makes for good jg ganks but you have to worry about going past into enemy tower if you miss.
What else? Passive good for csing under turret/sustain when low. Not bad for trading. Can push decently with the AS buff vs low health enemies since it seems to work vs minions. Ult + Q makes for turnarounds and diving him would be risky post 6.
All in all doesn't seem bad but will fall off in terms of mana sustain/long cds.
Not really. Top is too combat oriented, and warwick requires time to hunt his prey to be effective.
You could probably pull it off. You can do it now as AP Warwick and since all his abilities are now useful with all builds, he would probably be OK. Definitely something worth trying out.
I'd say too melee and no decent gapcloser till you get 6, and then that's your ult. His Q range is shit.
Warwick's originally gating factor in top lane was his horrendous mana costs. But now with his mana cost on q going way down and W effectively being a passive his mana usage is near non-factor.
If his base stats are still good he might be able to lane.
He gains a heavy advantage once people are below half hp, to get them that low is the issue, pre 6 he may get rekt against decent top laners since he won't be able to melt them early on if they are tanks, if they are squishes they will out damage him because he has a whole ability that is worthless unless they are below a certain HP. Though I cannot support my opinion, ive seen no one try it or play it. It's all just inference. I think he'd stay in the jungle because he can trust his teammates to get enemies low during infinite duress in which they get below half hp and he can get his buffs and finish them
