Item Set thoughts after Client Update.
So with the new client, building Item Sets is not currently an available feature. I've heard that they are working on recoding that bit of the old client and working it into the new one, but that it's not a huge priority at the moment.
I was also thinking about the Recommended Items list, and why it exists. Recommended Items has always been around, but I've never used it efficiently, often ignoring it for my Custom Set or just jumping straight past it to search for the item that I actually want. So I was thinking about the difficulty between recoding and recommended items, and I believe that just updating Recommended Items to match the current meta would kill 2 birds with 1 stone. We remove some of the redundancy of having a ton of lists that may or may not contain useful information (I don't always keep every single Custom Set up to date, and I know you don't either), and we give people who are practicing new champs something just a little more reliable to build by in-game.
I know that whenever I'm playing a champion that I'm not super comfortable with, I spend most of my first few games bouncing back and forth between the game itself and google, looking for the most efficient build path against my enemy. Most of the people I play with do the same.
I just don't think there's any reason to have a Recommended Items list if those aren't the best items, and I think it's more than a little confusing for newer players who refer to Recommended Items and then get shit on by their teammates for building the wrong thing.
