League of Legends Items balancing

item 2045 Sightstone changes: Currently there is only one path for building a Sightstone. I think that there should be some diversity on what the Sightstone can be upgraded into. This would allow supports and junglers the ability to pick up some extra stats besides flat out health, as most supports and junglers currently do not waste the gold on upgrading sightstone until late game. I feel that the current system for the sightstone leaves out alot of diversity of play style and builds. the jungling items were revamped with a lot of diversity, and i feel that there is room to do the same with the sightstone.

Current: Sightstone Recipe. Ruby Crystal + gold stats: +150 Health Ruby Sightstone: Recipe Sightstone + ruby crystal +400 health

Suggested: Iorn Sightstone: Recipe Sightstone + Chain Vest Stats: +200 health + 40 Armor

Amplified Sightstone: Recipe SS + Amplifying tome Stats: +200 health + 25 Ability Power

Sharp Sightstone: Recipe SS + Long sword + Long Sword Stats: +200 health + 25 Attack Damage

Hefty Sightstone: Recipe SS + Giants Belt Stats: +600 health

Resistant Sightstone: recipe SS + Null-magic Mantle Stats: +200 health + 30 Magic Resist

item 3717 Jungle Item suggested fix To help improve the jungle there isn’t much we can adjust to make all sides happy. To resolve the issue there is two possible outcomes.

  1. Leave the cinderhulk enchantment on the jungle item and just allow it to continue.
  2. Remove the stats from the item, upset junglers and non-junglers.

My suggestion would be to remove the stats from the item, but create a new item to supplement the lost percentage bonus health. The only reason that non-junlgers are taking Smite and cinderhulk as I can see is, because of the percentage health bonus. By removing the percentage health bonus and creating a new item with percentage health it resolves the issue without hurting either side to much. Suggested items include:

  1. Bami’s Crown: Recipe Bami’s Cinder + Giants Belt Stats: +300 health + 25% bonus health UNIQUE Passive - Immolate: Deals 25 (+1 per champion level) magic damage per second to nearby enemies.
  2. Change Warmog’s Armor to reflect bonus health instead of just increased health. a. Warmog’s Armor: Recipe remains unchanged + 400 health + 25 % bonus health UNIQUE Passive: Restores 1% of maximum Health every 5 seconds. Health restore increases to 2% of maximum Health if damage hasn't been taken within 8 seconds.

Cinderhulk Enchantment: Recipe (remains unchanged) stats: +400 health UNIQUE Passive - Immolate: While in combat, deals 16 (+1 per champion level) magic damage a second to nearby enemies. This increases up to 24 (+1.5 per champion level) magic damage a second based on time in combat.

*remove 25% bonus health and replace with + 100 health

Cost of items remains the same and the stats are present in both items. By creating a new item or adjusting wormogs it gives Non-junglers an avenue to get the same stats, as well as allowing junglers to pick up the item aswell.

Other suggested Items:

I feel that there needs to be some sort of damage reflection item for Magic based damage. We have Thorn Mail for Attack Damage, and 2 attack speed reduction items, but no magic damage reflection. base stats do not have to be Ability powered based, just throwing it in there as an idea.

Lunar Mirror: Recipe Spectre’s Cowl + Aether Wisp Stats: +30 Ability Power+400 Health+55 Magic Resist UNIQUE Passive: +5% Movement Speed UNIQUE Passive: Upon being hit by a Ability that would deal Magic damage, returns 30% of the incoming damage (before being reduced by defenses) to the attacker as magic damage.

Please give me your feedback and discus my suggestions.

No to everything regarding Cinderhulk and %bonus health items.

The stats Cinderhulk gives are fine, the immolate passive is being nerfed on the item for lane Smite users (along with Challenging Smite), and it (Cinderhulk enchant) will be fine after that. A percent bonus health item only makes sense on tank JUNGLERS because of their limited income. Giving %bonus health to Warmogs or another item would only make Toplane tanks more abusive. Imagine the strong farming top lane tanks, Sion Maokai Gnar becoming more powerful with an item that they have to make no sacrifices toward. In many/most games, top laners have an item advantage over junglers mid-late game because they have access to much more gold. Not to mention that if a jungler takes Sightstone, they are already at a horrible disadvantage in combat itemization.

I ll take your examples A Jungler has 11k gold while B Toplaner has 14k gold both champions buy your new Warmog's with bonus health scaling the difference is that while A has item 3725 (imagine it has the stats you listed: 400 flat health) item 3211 item 3083 item 3110 and boots let's say this will be 400 + 200 + 400 (what Warmog's flat health would be according to you) health + 25% bonus = 1250 bonus health on the tank jungler from items. The top lane tank would have item 3143 item 3083 item 3110 item 3065 item 3800 and boots. 500 + 400 + 400 + 600 = 1900 x 1.25 = 2375 bonus health from items, nearly 2 x the amount of bonus health that a tank jungler would have.

Right now, if a top laner opts to go for the % bonus health, they have to make a meaningful tradeoff because they HAVE to take Smite to use the item. This limits them in mobility/safety in lane and so the only champions you see who can somewhat safely use this strategy are very mobile ones like Shyv and Hecarim. The problem arises with how much combat stats Challenging Smite + Cinderhulk gives, and they are reducing that on the PBE, while retaining the fast clears it provides for Tank Junglers.

As for the Magic damage thornmail, not to that too. There will never be an item that reflects spell damage in such a way that thornmail reflects autos. This is an old, old post on the old forums, but you get the point from this. There will never be an MR thornmail.

Sightstone is already bought on every support and many junglers (especially the ones that know what's going on). Adding more things to upgrade sightstone to would probably make it overpowered.

No one bothers to upgrade sightstone until super late-game. Heck, some supports are skipping SS in favor of Yellow Trinket upgrade since it's just as good, and considerable cheaper (even with the lack of SS early game, you can just buy a few wards to make up for it and still save money. Not all supports benefit greatly from the 150 HP either since if they get caught out, 150 hp won't do them much good.)

The supports that get the trinket instead of sightstone are missing out one something very important. The sweeper.

Every support should get sightstone. I'll say it again. Every support should get sightstone. If you're just getting the yellow trinket, you aren't denying vision from your opponent, which is doing your team a disservice. The red trinket is VERY important to deny vision from your opponent.

Yes, Sightstone is purchased by Supports and junglers, but not upgraded to Ruby very often as people see it being a waste of gold.

You get sooo much value out of all those wards.

Which is why no one bothers to upgrade to ruby until super late game.
