I won 8/10 of my placements. Carried most of my games. Carried an S ranking on 7 of those games. I got placed bronze 5. I absolutely require an explanation for this, 3 years playing, hundreds spent on the game. Ultimate Betrayal. Im so salty i cant even play the game with conduct in good conscience.
Deep Terror Nami2 votesIt's because your MMR was really low. You don't get reset every season; you actually just lose some MMR in what's called a "soft reset". If you had climbed higher last season you would've placed higher. Simple as that. Everybody lost a lot of MMR and nearly every dropped down several divisions at best.
EndoMotion1 votesThis does not reward players for improvement or performance. So what your saying is i literally have to win every ranked match i play for the next 3 - 6 seasons to place upper silver lower gold... why even play if your punished for improvment.
Deep Terror Nami1 votesI don't know where you're getting any of this. I ended last season at Gold 2, and just finished my placements and got Silver 1. You know what I'm going to do? Climb back up. That's why it's called a Ranked ladder and has seasons.

Baintha Brakk1 votesDon't you guys understand the basics? The OP is right, that is not fair placement at all. If he won 0 games and lost 10 games he would be in Bronze 5. What benefit did winning the 8 games give him? I'm sure he had to work hard to do that. I had to deal with a Malzahar going 0-13 in mid-lane in 13 minutes and saying I'm not on his level before he AFKed and a turret diving Sona feeding. Plus 90% of my games the ADC didn't even play ADC before, does less damage than full-tank and support (still happens commonly in Silver/Gold 5 games apparently). Yeah, not fun to wade through that. So being able to win 8 games with these kind of players on your team impresses me, his placement is obviously a fluke.
EndoMotion1 votesEnded Bronze 5 last season , started in silver made it to silver 1 then got rolled by afks and trolls, couldnt recover, atleast didnt care enough after 40+ losses in a row. So i practiced, took notes, make adjustments and now i play at a different level. The mmr is more broken than samuel l jacksons body in unbreakable.
