Poppy has a lot of strenghs and weaknesses. And i know her early game is super hard. But is there any reason why poppy's E cannot target allied minions and champs? She already has horrendous mana problems early so it would seem being able to heroic charge AWAY from an engagement would have the cost built into it. Why is this not the case?

That's fine, it just seems like a natural extension of what should be available to the champion. Especially in response to hard counters. If poppy gets dived on by irelia, darius, or caught out of position by a ranged counter like jayce, teemo, nidalee. i think having the E be targetable on a allied minion/champion would help reestablish the lane instead of snowballing against poppy. And since she is mana starved early the cost/benefit ratio may still actually work against her ; /. But at least it adds an option on a already existing ability.
