Match-Making Players, Ranked with Unranked

I've been in several games now and this is definitely a problem with match making, and I don't understand how anyone at Riot thought this was going to be a good idea.

Why would match-making match UNRANKED players with RANKED players and think that its ok. All UNRANKED players should be grouped into their own pool. I don't care if they are god-tier and they are UNRANKED because its their smurf account or whatever, UNRANKED is UNRANKED.
