Getting an S in ARAM

Is getting an S in ARAM impossible? No, it's not because I've seen others do it. Does Riot hate me? No, they don't know me. Could I have done better? No, I had great teamwork, positive attitude, tons of minions smashed along with their protectors (champions), killed two towers. So what's the issue? Reply with your answer of what I could be doing wrong. What if you don't want to reply? Then don't, just wait for someone else to.

My guess would be is they expect Lux to go 60-0-150 in ARAM (exaggeration)

Maybe it is your 10 deaths. Because everyone with lux gets tons of kills in aram so it would be harder to get an S with lux in aram. I think if you didn't die 10 times you would have gotten it.

Maybe it was. Yeah it's really easy to get kills with Lux, but sometimes people like to jump in later on and take a kill or two from ya. Doesn't bother me too much ('cause it's a team game) but I do feel they ruined my S potential (Especially Xerath). Those deaths were mainly trying to save my team; maybe I should just become a selfish player.

Actually there were a few forum posts on that. About now how you have to be a selfish player to receive an S in a normal game. Because if you keep dying then you won't get an S but if you don't help your ADC and get away then you have a better chance of getting an S (as a support).

But I think if you got that score in a normal 5v5 game and had more CS you would of gotten a S | S-

yes you could have. Lux is really good in aram, and as a result people generally do pretty well with her, meaning the bar to get an S is set pretty high.

Ah, okay. Thanks, but with how great my team was I don't think I could've gotten more kills. (great meaning kill-stealers!!!) Hopefully next time I can do a bit better :P

there's always room for improvement. be it dodging/landing more skill shots, better decision making, better build optimization, etc. You still did pretty well, I'm just saying even the best player can always do better.

One thing that I see from the end game statistics is that you have died quite a lot for a Lux. For an S I guess you should have died maybe 3 times max or so. I don't play Lux too well myself, but I have seen plenty of incredible Luxannas on the Bridge. You did quite well (probably better than I have ever done with Lux) but not good enough for S-. The good part is; There is a lot of room for improvement, for both of us. :)

Edit: Oh d... I necroed this by reading "best" threads. Sorry. Edit2: Oh d... or maybe someone else did. There aren't that many upvotes on this. My necromancy skills are lacking. :)

Maybe you should learn how to play Lux better? Don't waste so much kill potential on buying FQC/Athene's. Get morellos and then deathcap/ludens echo, void staff is such a huge dmg boost. u need to get that. ur damage was probably subpar overall and you're kill participation isn't that great for so many kills on ur team.

Alrighty, few things... This seemed rude and then helpful so I will address it in the same way.

I'm mastery level 2 Lux, means I've played her MAYBE 5 times. You expect me to be godly and get 60 kills when she's still new to me, so your insult is moronic. Can't learn until I'm taught - whether I self teach or (which is the reason I posted this) someone gives me pointers.
Noted about the FQC and Athene's, thanks.
I was going to work on getting those items later game, but my team excelled quickly.
My kill participation was better than anyone else in that game, and overall, for an un-ranked player and mastery level 2 Lux, I did fine. Overall, your comment was more nice than mean so thanks for the advice.

Oh you can't expect an S grade for a champion you've played "MAYBE 5 times" :']
Yeah.. FQC even for supports now a days isn't that great a pickup.
Lux is really really really really ridiculous in aram. Like you have to go above and beyond what people normally do. And maybe get no more than 5 deaths.

Janna I went 7/4/42 (involved in 49 of our 60 kills) as Janna and got an A in ARAM, so I totally feel you bro, pretty salty about no S. Not sure how i was supposed to do much better, she literally does no damage, so not sure how I was supposed to get more kills. Even healed for 20,000 and gave shields for days! Were you all saying that even itemization matters too? because that is the only place I could have possibly messed up.
