Are ranked 5v5(on a team) and solo queue separate, do they use the same pool of LP?

I played a couple ranked games last night with 5 people(all on a team) and when we lost it took LP from my solo queue LP. Is there something special you have to do to queue as a ranked 5 person team now? 3 of the people have not done all of their placement matches yet for solo queue if that would make a difference.
