I don't know what to do

Newish player here, have played on and off for a while, recently got lvl 30 and have been doing ranked matches.

I've watched many videos on cs'ing, controling lanes, etc etc. I'm trying to learn I really am.

Problem is well there are lots of problems, but one of the biggest things is that I die a lot, and if I don't die a lot, I do zero dmg.

and then people go buck on me, going all american rage.

I'm just trying to learn the game. I've played mobas before, I know how they work, I've play many bot games, they teach you absolutely nothing beyond the basics of the games, but going from bot games to solo queues are insane.

After every game someone on my team says "I'm trash" (which I am, it seems rather redundant to state) and that I should play bot games. But I've played them, 100s of them (and every time I want to learn a new champ I play 4 or so bot games with them first)

I try to play safe to not "feed" but I can't get into position to do much dmg. If i try and position to where I can put some dmg in, I get slaughtered.

I've played probably for a month, and I want to get better, and I also want people in my elo whom have played for years to not talk shit anymore... I get it i'm trash - but I've only played for a month, what's your excuse?"

HAve you considered playing another role? Like top?

first problem- Why on earth are you playing ranked after only a month?????

Lvl 30 is peanuts. That's like playing Overwatch and being able to play ranked after you've played a casual with 3 different champions. It's really easy to get and doesn't prove that you're ready to play ranked.

What you need to do is take all of those concepts you've been learning and apply them to normal games. Learn what all the champions do, even play some games with them, until you know how to play with and against them. Learn their strengths and their weaknesses. Then, learn Macro. Learn when to push towers and when to back off.

Get to lvl 60 AT LEAST before you even try ranked. Ranked, even some bronze, is much different than anything else, but not so much gameplay wise. You have to know what you're doing, you can't just pick up a champ you've played for 4 bot games and expect to do good. Most people in ranked have been playing for a while and know how different champions work and how their champions fit into the game.

I'm really not trying to be rude, but you need to get some more games in. Play normals until you feel confident in your abilities instead of tanking your ranked mmr. Trust me, if you get your mmr low enough, only God will let you get out of bronze.

Not rude at all, I get it. Also I should've been clear when I said I'd play bot games with new champs, I wouldn't play 4 bot games then go into solo, i'd play them in normal games then for a dozen games before I'd be comfortable going into ranked.

And I was exaggerating when I referred to your 4 bot games, I doubt anyone would play bot games and then go directly into ranked. The point is, I don't think you understand the game enough to play ranked yet. Playing norms is the best way to learn the game while not being punished for not knowing something.

Also, you're playing a lot of ADC which is in a really shitty spot right now. You depend heavily on another player (the support) early game, and deaths in the botlane transfer to losses EXTREMELY fast. I would suggest you either play more support or play a different lane. Top lane is one of the best for learning. Try to stay away from carry roles because if you're not experienced you could easily end up snowballing THEIR carry, which of course is not good. Again, top is one of the best places to learn. Not too many unfair champions to go against, not much threat of getting bursted down in 2 seconds, and tremendous opportunity for CS and vision practice.

I do play ADC, It's a role that I really enjoy, I'm fine with taking time to get good, I just distaste how people are always saying report this "kid" and such. All the champs I've bought have been ADC too, so I'd like to continue down that path if I can! Thanks for the input too, apreesh!

People tend to find it easier to call others trash than to look at their own mistakes. It's easier I guess. If they want to be idiots, more power to them. You're clearly working on improving though, so mute them and use even those losses to improve. Also, I'd recommend r/summonerschool, it has a lot of good tips for improving and a lot of experienced players who answer questions.

Oh thanks kindly for the resource, I didn't have that one yet.

No problem. It can be a bit hit or miss but if you go through the all time top posts you can find some incredible resources. A surprising number of masters+ players that want to help people get better.

Let me ask first: What are the roles you mainly play?

I'm asking as a top-lane main, though I also dabble in Jungle, Support and Bot. I can give advice on those 4 roles. If you play Mid, however, I can't be of much help. I'm not a very good Mid lane player.

So if you see this comment, please respond with the roles you play, and I can see if I can give you some heads-ups or not. Thanks, and I hope I can help you improve!

I have been playing ADC

Do you have any particular champions you like, or are you still testing the waters by picking whatever sounds good at the time?

This is so I'll know who to give advice on.

I really like Kai'sa and after her lucian, sivir, jhin, vayne are the ones I've been playing.

I'm starting to get a bunch better, but still can't seem to crack S teir.

Ahh, both Kaisa and Lucian are bot-laners that can have mixed builds, depending on the enemy comp. Kai'Sa more so than Lucian, since she has the Living Weapon upgrades that depend on stat growth/items, while Lucian has AP ratios on his W and R, the ratio is 90% for W and 10% for his R. Mixed AD/AP builds aren't ALWAYS the best for him. Really though, it depends on the enemy team comp.

Sivir, things usually go this way: Poke with Q and W, block spells with E and when the enemy is low enough, R to run in to secure the kill. This isn't ALWAYS the case, but it's what I've seen with her in-game (Whether playing as, with or against).

Jhin, my personal favorite marksman. (And this isn't just because he's good with Hail of Blades and such. He's been my favorite marksman ever since his release) Always try to aim his Q to get as many kills as it can BEFORE it hits the champion (I assume) you're aiming for to get the damage boosts on the next bounce.

Some Jhin players use his W to poke, but I personally save it and use it ONLY when I'm sure I'll root my target. Usually with the 4th shot primed. If you have a target low enough and you don't have your ult, you CAN use it to try and snag the kill, I do that upon occasion.

I use the E Lotus Traps as mini-wards, somewhat like what Teemo does with his mushrooms. Thing is, you have to remember to pay attention to them, because sure, they'll go off when someone steps on it, but it's on YOU to react and use your W fast enough to root them so they'll take full damage. They can also be useful when placed under YOUR turret for wave-clear purposes when you're returning to base. A well-placed one might get you some unexpected CS gold to get that item you were just a penny short for.

Only activate his ult when you KNOW you're in a safe place because you are a SITTING DUCK while it is active. Don't just blow all four shots willy-nilly. If you need to, take time to focus and line them up.

Sadly, I can't give a whole lot of advice when it comes to Vayne. I don't play her.
