How do you communicate to people that you enjoy playing league but you're very bad?

I seem to keep running into the fact that I guess I basically shouldn't play this game? I've been playing on and off for years. But I know that I am absolutely terrible at it. But all the people I end up queuing with either ignore that fact or get aggravated when it turns out I don't know what I'm doing. I try to be pretty up front that they can straight up direct me what to do when things aren't going well but often by that point people are too angry to care. Looking for advice ; should I just only play bots or something? I don't really have any fun that way but I don't want to ruin 4 other peoples time, especially when I have some IRL friends that sometimes like to queue with me.

Screw that bro, have fun, tell them, they can deal with it, aslong as your having fun then thats all that matters.

Well unfortunately many of the people who play this game are toxic, and toxic people care more about flaming others than winning, so they will ignore you when you ask for advice, but when you mess up they will flame you.

I think if you just want to play for fun then you should mute all. And you're not ruining anyone's time, don't worry. Don't you ever think that it's your fault if you're being flamed. It's just a game, it's about having fun, and if someone feels the need to insult someone else just because they do not perform optimally, then the problem is the flamer.

TL;DR: Mute all at the start of the game. And remember it's just a game, you're not ruining anyone's time. People will get angry for stupid reasons all the time, it's not your fault.
