[Suggestion] Adding a coach to solo queue game
Hey guys, so... In competitive matches all teams, or most of them, have coaches. So why don't we have them in solo queue game? Imagine that you play a game 5v5 as it is now but you have an option to add a 6th player, which will be your team guide or coach. These coaches have the same vision as their teams and all they can do is ping, chat and likely resources that can guide their teams to a win. The coach will also get xp and ip if his team wins and you can rate him at the end game. The basic principle of this idea is that someone better than you, or with a better vision from the whole game, can help you improve and train you, just like it is for competitive matches BUT you would either choose a coach or play with one randomly. So here comes some early functions for these coach players:
• The same smart ping with new functions
- The coach ping sound and effect is longer and bigger than normal players pings (this gives it an importance feel)
- Enemy ult down
- Enemy flash down
- Baron/Dragon up --- Baron/Dragon soon • Chat just like normal players but with bold letters and distinctive color to pop it out • Voice chat • After game analysis (the after game data could be used to teach players about how did they play and how can they improve)
So, a coach would work pretty much as the team manager, trying to solve problems, even troll/toxic players problems, give suggestions and calls for the team. But how to prevent those players from being afk or toxic? There would be a rate system in which the team evaluate the coach and this would count for his position as a coach and a player. Also you could only be a coach for a team if you are 1 or 2 elos above your whole team. What do you guys think?
