So me and my buddies were discussing about the recent nerfs from champions and their silence being removed AKA Le Blanc and Talon.
Then I realized there's only 4 champions that I could think of that has silence.

Orbv2 votesI don't think a well placed Cho or Malzahar silence has ever been useless. It's powerful against everyone who relies on abilities. There should be WAY more of them.

SociopathFriend2 votesThere's only 4 suppression abilities, and 2 blinds, and two pulls. Silence was taken away from Leblanc, Kass, and talon because they could destroy a mid champion with no counterplay beyond "Stay away from them".
Granted, this is also the entire core idea of Malzahar. Except his silence is decently hard to land.

An example would be hitting Garen with a silence during Judgement and forcing the ability to cancel early.
Ariaflux1 votesThe silences were being removed from Assassins because they already burst you down fast, the silence prevents any sort of retaliation in the small window of time that you are alive. It's not that silences themselves are something that cannot exist in the game.

we only have two blinds and like 120+ champs. If we're talking just by the numbers these are both incredibly low ratios for these two types of CC. I'm not saying they can't be OP or abused just that they are so few they almost don't matter

Dreadlocks1 votesBecause silences have counter play with tenacity.. Riot doesn't like counter play so every new champion gets a knock up instead because knock ups can't be reduced by tenacity
