On Fizz
We see too many rants about Fizz being extremely OP and broken without any evidence or explanation. I'm attempting to discuss the problem of Fizz with some thought and offer some optional solutions that actually make sense. Fizz can still be countered pretty hard with some good picks, and his early game is a little weak, but I'd still say he's a little overpowered. Many matchups go into Fizz's favor, and when they don't, he still has the potential to roam and get snowballing. Granted, I'm not that great at League, but I can still watch games and have enough knowledge to at least make reasonable suggestions.
When you think about it, playful/trickster is like a small duration Zhonya's+gap closer+burst aoe damage spell. It's potential as a spell is really insane, and on a relatively short cooldown for how potent it is. The most potent part is the untargetability - a concept in League that is extremely powerful. Untargetability takes you away from any form of threat at the time, and Fizz can do this Spammably more than any other champions. Most champions have to burn an ult on a long cooldown to become untargetable. On top of that, Fizz's get Zhonya's so he has two of them
I have two SEPARATE options/suggestions for Fizz that exploit his weakness but keep him still powerful. Obviously his weakness is the melee range when laning very frequently against ranged champs. I don't believe in nerfing his damage because the high burst damage is a main point of an assasin Here are the two options: 1.) Nerf the cast range of his E a little bit: His E would still be powerful in the same way, and offer the 3 benefits above, but he would have to expose himself to a little more danger to go in for a kill/trade. This would force more planning when going aggressive instead of sitting back safely, and jumping in and out quickly without much room for retaliation. Additionally, this would make the use of E as an escape a little less effective. He would be more susceptable to ganks and if he got low, it wouldn't be so remarkably simple to flip away from danger and survive.
2.) Instead of untargetability, tweak the situation during his E cast a little. During his E, he should be immune to CC still, kinda like an Olaf effect while he's playful/trickstering, but not completely immune to damage. Again, this makes it so all in's a bit more risky and have to be planned out more. So he can't just be insta-bursted with something like a Syndra ult while, he's going in, I'd suggest adding in a little bit of damage-reduction while he E's. In this case, he would still have great assasin potential, high damage, and high mobility that defines him, but allows for more retaliation. If he takes damage during his E, albeit reduced, champions can kite him better. If Fizz had a health disadvantage, going in aggressively would not be rewarded with an instakill as it is often times now. He would have to go in with advantages, play smarter, and choose opportunities better. Also, while escaping, it would still be possible to get off some last casts or AA's to finish him off in a close trade even if he is using E to get away to safety.
