Why are we matched so horribly in normal games,

So what i've noticed is that in ranked u get matched properly but when u play normals and ur plat or gold etc u get matched with 2 silvers and 2 bronzes and urself gold/plat. why? whats the point of making the game that random, id rather be able to use normals to practice with people in my own rank so i can play ranked again, i quit for a while so i dont want to botch my rank just to get used to the game again but instead i have people in my games who dont know how to play yelling at me for not using my ult when it wasnt even up then reporting me and me getting a message that i was using offensive language when in fact others have been the ones with itchy a**holes, and because the tribunal is the way it is everyone just spams guilty lol. so u dont even get a chance even if u havent been doing anything at all i rather pllay with my own rank thats all im saying its dumb if im not.

Normal MMR is separate from ranked MMR. It's the same matchmaking, though.

There is no tribunal, Riot can't work it out over the past 9 months.

Funny I played normals for a few months and thanks to the terrible matchmaking I got used to laning against golds/plats/diamonds etc.

Now when I do play ranked (Bronze) it's almost a joke how easy it is to snowball games.

It's kinda similar on situation for us in silver and the bronze players. Getting matched against gold+ players isn't our idea of fun. A lot of times people type in all chat and be toxic to us or the enemy team when they're higher rank. The rest you stated is hardly just problems for higher ranked people playing against lower ranks and is moreso a problem with everyone. In the end though, no one wants to be matched with players not of their own level and the game just has people flaming each other in general.

I'm gold and in a large majority of my games i'm matched against diamonds and plats and my team has silvers and sometimes bronze. i get diamonds really only play ranked but really?

Rankeds and normals use the same matchmakeing system, but they don't share their mmr.

THe matchmakeing system works better the more games you have played, as it needs a bigger samplesize to somewaht correctly estimate your skill based on statistical messurements. So if you have more normals than rankeds, matchmakeing in normals will be more accurate, if you have more rankeds than normals, it's the other way around. And if you don't have that much games at all, neither will be accurate.

Aditionally, it might be that more players overall play ranked than normals, and a smaller playerbase always hurts matchmakeing, as you either have huge que times or get matched with not ideal players.

ranked mmr =/= normal mmr

if you focused on playing ranked that means that your normal mmr is lagged behind so you will be placed with opponents who have the same normal mmr, whether they are unranked or challenger. Just like ranked, just keep playing normal games and you will eventually start playing with people of your same skill

fair enough didnt realise the tribunal was down been a while then i quit about 9 months ago lol just came back but still im getting the worse players ever lol v.v
