I played a game with Poppy and our Ahri got S rank but there were no chests to be received. I had three chests slots open and I owned the champion (it was not from the free week rotation).
Same happened to my pre-made dude.
Is this a bug or am I missing something?

BTpeto Tantrum1 votesWas the Ahri part of your premade? If not, then that explains why you didn't get a chest. The chests are only dropped when someone in your premade gets an S rating.

I.e. if you played Poppy previously and received a chest (either from a pre-made teammate or yourself getting an S-rating), then you won't get another chest for Poppy for the rest of the season. Which means you need to play 52 different champions to get all 52 chests for the year.
You can check if you received a chest on a champion by going to your champion pool of your profile. The gold border around a champion icon means that you've received a chest from playing that champion, so you can't receive another chest from it.

Wait are you for real? That would explain why I mainly play Sona and only ever received one chest. That seems really lame!
